City's Youth Academy are gearing up for an 'opportunity of a lifetime' with the squad flying out to the United States later this month (March 14-25).
After winning the FA Premier Academy League title last season, the starlets have been invited to take part in the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXIX alongside the likes of Liverpool, Sao Paulo, Benfica and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Foxes have been placed in Super Group A.
There are three groups with the winners and best runner-up from the three mini-leagues then meeting in the semi-finals.
City will take on CF Monterrey on Sunday, March 16, Andromeda a day later (March 17) before coming up against Sao Paulo at the Pizza Park Stadium on Wednesday, March 19.
The stadium has a capacity of 21,000.
"It will be a fantastic experience for the lads and an opportunity of a lifetime," said Academy Manager Jon Rudkin.
"I have been fortunate enough to attend the tournament before with the likes of Richard Stearman and Levi Porter when they were playing for the Under-14s.
"It's a well-organised tournament featuring some top clubs from around the world and it will prove to be a big test for us but one that we are looking forward to."
The squad for the trip to Dallas has yet to be finalised but Rudkin admits that there will be a youthful feel to the traveling party.
He added: "We are in the process of formulating our squad for the tournament but it is more than likely going to have a young look to it.
"It is an Under-19s tournament but several of our schoolboys will have travelled and they will look to get as much out of it as possible.
"The trip will provide the lads with some further experience as they continue to progress at the football club."
