you carnt say that after he changed it round in the second half sat ,we played loads better .

Ok we only got a point but i think that shown what is needed to be done ill stay on the sides untill after tuesday night :icon_wink

He shoudn`t of changed it round in the first place,
We played loads better in the second half after the subs were made cus that was the same 11 that beat villa.

So why change a winning team in the first place?

If he can`t get a winning team out of the players hes got, the players he knew he would be working with when he signed the contract, then its a sad tail.

In my appinion Megson was the wrong choice and i said that from the start,
I also think this so called 3 year plan will fail whilst we`ve got a muppet (megson) running the show.

Again 2 points lost.

I'm now going to quote something that i am sure will have many die hard fans calling for my scalp, but i would rather see us playing attractive and progressive attacking football and not get promoted than play the current dross of hoofball and get to the Premier league.

That is just fcuking unbelievable. Winning is everything and at all costs. Camberwell Fox you sound like a right loser. I could not care less how we play as long as we win. I get the right hump when we lose but over the moon when we win and I know what feeling I prefer.

Because we are playing football. Winning comes above the performance every single time. I don't go down to watch entertaining football, if I wanted that I would watch Arsenal. I go down to watch Leicester win by ANY means neccesary

Spot on Beighton,:038::038::038:

Everybody should remember that points make prizes, and loads of points gets LCFC into the premiership. We don't give a fcuk how we get them.......

I agree with you to a point, winning is the single most important thing about watching LCFC, and I would be quite happy accepting boring hoofball if it produced the results.

If however we play boring hoofball and lose more often than we win then I will be completely pissed off with the whole club.

Think of it as a recruitment process with a job apllication form/person specification (quite appropriate, as we may well get through a few candidates this season)

Winning League matches, and getting promoted are the only essential criteria

Playing nice football, a lovely cup run, communicating with fans, plus everything else that you can think of, are merely desirable criteria

At the moment no-one has got through the initial sift

TBH I think the main problem is and has been for quite some time, our home form. We have not since the year we moved in, made the Walkers a 'tough' place to come for the opposition. This is the most notable problem we have IMO.

Winning, although important is NOT the be all and end all. Surely then, by your post if we had allowed F***** to score and then lost the match you would be p****d off, and couldn't deal with it.

I think the 'win at all costs' shows that you are not a football fan. Just a follower of a football club.

Winning the league by playing sh*** is a hollow feeling and (as far as i'm concerned) is not as great an achievement as playing the game as it should be played.

Isn't it called FOOTball for a reason?

Nuff said.....

Thanks Melts, i take it that's a compliment?
If you want it to be it can. I can see both sides to the debate, but personally I'd rather watch shite football and win games.

But I won't stand for shite football and shite results. Winning is the most important thing to me. Football is shallow, and so am I.

you are a right crackpot, winning is everything, and if you dont follow that line, you are a loser. I would say nearly everybody who follows city has the same view as me. As for the forest match, we won, as for the villa match we won. I get pissed off every time they lose how ever they play. So don't come that shite.

And feck me, if winning the league by playing shite football leaves a hollow feeling, you are a bigger loser than I took you for.

I agree with you 100%. You've hit the nail on the head.

1st, teams don't win the league playing hoofball.

2nd, did you not get a (albeit tinged with being gutted at losing) better feeling from watching city lose 4-3 to Swindon (taking away the importance of the game, first) than losing to, lets say Charlton away?

I'm not a loser by wanting to watch attractive football, this makes me a football fan, if City always attract negative coverage because of the style of play they adopt, then this is something i do not enjoy.

Putting the question the other way, would you rather watch city WIN playing attractive rather than unattractive football?

If your answer is don't care, then you are the crackpot my friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Swindon game, and fcuker who came away from that game feeling good is a wanker.

2. The important thing is for the team to win however they do it, when will you get that into your thick crust?

3. You have just elevated yourself to tosser status

1. Then i suggest there are a lot of w*****s out there.

2. Just because i disagree with you, doesn't make me thick.

3. Your distinct lack of being able to have a debate without resorting to insults clearly shows who is in the ''tosser'' category.

I think on the above note i will retire gracefully...i'm sure, much to your delight.

I've noticed that lately the insults in this forum are getting increasingly high on the Richter Scale - and i put this down to tormented frustration that it's another season and another set of miserable league results.

The debate about playing good football v winning is just nonsensical given our present situation. We are not winning and we are not playing good football. In fact whilst Megson remains in charge there is no likelihood of either occurring.

Just as a matter of interest why was Megson given a reported three years contract ?- I hope that the club has some results based get out clause because Milan has already wasted loads of money on buying largely poor players and sacking people that he has just appointed that I wouldn't like to see him waste more money on paying off yet another failure. And yes I realise that it's his money to waste but on the otherhand the popular support for his takeover was at least partly based on the assumption that his money would make a major difference to the results.
