A lot of us were affected by the spurs semi - me in particular.

So was I - I got booked for not having a Road Tax Licence of the way home. Long story - but I did have a licence but for the wrong car and I had been running round with the wrong number on my plates for a whole year.

Thankfully it was all sorted without me having to pay a penny.

Glad you also included - Peter Rodrigues - I thought he was a fine, attacking right back. I considered Steve Whitworth who of course got a number of England caps at Leicester - but I think Rodrigues was better.

Lived up to his latin name with a lovely zapata moustach! Welsh International and Went to Southhapton and won an FA Cup Winners medal. I liked him, he tackled hard and could cross a ball.

No - Arthur Chandler is City's highest goalscorer

I thought every child born in Leicestershire knew that Arthur Chandler was City's highest goalscorer - Arthur Rowley, of course, holds the Football League goal scoring record. People talk about 'goal scoring machines' - Rowley was one and would be the first name for me on any 'all time' team sheet. The only reason he didn't play for England was because Leicester were an unfashionable club - his brother Jack who was good, but no where near as good as Arthur, got several England caps - because he played for Man U.

How dare you question where I was born!!! :icon_redf:mad:

Don't you know we should be looking to the future not the past led by Shoeless and Clueless....:icon_bigg

I'll tell you this mate we're better off looking to the past in the case of Leicester City. Whenever, I go to The Walkers these days -which is I think was 6 times this season - I look at this talentless, characterless side and find it impossible to compare them with past sides. The last player we have had who had anything special about him was Muzzy Izzet ( I don't count Les Ferdinand's cameo appearances in his dotage). When Izzet played in our last promotion season, he stood out like a beacon. But even Izzet wouldn't get in my 'All Time Team' reserve side.

Then, I look across to "the dug out " aka the technical area and there is the prize idiot Holloway - a dwarf amongst midgets.

I don't think I ever saw Rodrigues play but Whitworth was great. Nobody has even mentioned Tommy williams or John John John O'neill in passing. Russell Osman was good enough to make the England team too.

Rodrigues was what would now be called a wing back - a strong tackler loads of pace and as mentioned earlier with an ability to deliver signature fierce crosses from long runs from defence. Whitworth wasn't as spectacular, in fact an understated sort of player but knew what he was about and was very consistent.

I'd class John O'Neill in the durable and reliable category - and Russell Osman as lucky to have got his England caps (I don't think he got any with us anyway.)I thought Tommy Williams was a real trier and therefore very popular with the Leicester crowd who will always warm to a trier - but average ability.

Pretty much agree. JO was dependable and solid in a slightly different way to Bob Hazell but I didn't really like him. I was very much a Larry May fan. I liked Russell he had a bit of flair and looked like Kurt Russell. He was at the end of his career at Leicester though compared with his Ipswich days.

Ipswich used to be a top club, the kids of today would never believe that would they?

sorry about the mostly 98-00 theme but even though i was very young i realised that that time was special in our clubs history and frankly, nobody associated with leicester since then really deserves to be in the same post as most of my team.

Yes I am old.
And Yes these all played together.

This was the best 'TEAM'. Not necessarily the best players in each position to make up a fantasy.
