Fecking hell the press conference is still going on, jeez this Mad Dog doesn't half have a lot to say !!

Totally agree - however I think the likes of Fryatt, Stearman and Weso may start to play to their potential, which would be amazing.

Yes, I agree. All three have potential if properly managed. Including Stearman who for all the just criticism thrown at him looks like a footballer playing badly....rather than someone who can't play.

So that would give Allen five existing players with some potential for next season : Kisnorbo, Stearman, Weso, Hume and Fryatt.....and we need at least 9 others from somewhere.

McAulay too RF.....then academy lads he may want to bring on..... But in general, it's a dire squad.

Agreed McAulay is an honest journeyman.

Don't think you can count the Academy lads tho'. Mattock and others have obvious promise...at this stage but many, many young footballers fail to progress from the age of 16 onwards.

Thanks for that, I have a good feeling about this. Good answers from Allen.

Absolutely! Really like his attitude and his philosophy, just have to hope he can get it across to those who have spent too much time "poncing" around on the pitch.

fairly impressed with the interview he gave, but i,l withhold judgement untill i see what he can do with a squad that needs a hell of kick up the arse! i reckon by about end october we should no 1 way or the other if he gonna make it or not, i hope he does and i hope we go on from here and put the last few seasons behind us but i dunno what it is but i have a nagging feeling that things are not gonna go the way people are trying to plan them,

I personally feel you could comfortably add Mattock, we have seen he can do it at this level. For me he has proven more than Weso he can do it in this league.

i said previouslly that i would be happy with someone who has played the game, got managerial experience and is not neil warnock.that said im well happy with the appointment and look forward now to the transfer merry go round.good luck martin allen and welcome :038:

Sounds like he will put a few of the players noses out of joint... about time too the useless bunch of gits...

Like the fact that we will have a manager with passion for the game
