The board are in a no win situation with the fans here, and quite rightly so.

Other than MM, the only people that can feck this up are the board or the FT as some are suggesting.

If the board sell and run, it will be the right thing to do, and on previous experiences witnessed, I would say that the board haven't got the noodle to enter into or sustain hard and meaningful negotiations with MM.

He'll put an offer in, they'll turn it down or accept it

If it is turned down and we continue as we are, feck 'em

If you take MM at his word, they have been speaking, and he hasn't been shown the door, and as I've said before the board may have initiated it. I don't see what more they can do. At the end of the day, it will not be down to the board or the FT if an offer is made - it will be down to the shareholders as a body. The FT have a very minor shareholding, effectively they have no say.

Point taken, just saying that it appears ( I would emphasise appears ) that the board have been proactive, or are at the very least haven't given MM the bum's rush. In view of the flack they take all the time I just thought it would be nice to even it up, just for once.;)

Fair call....even the most anti-board fan should accept that.:icon_wink

BUT....as BG has pointed out, there are still certain individuals who seek to feather their own nests in such a scenario.....

It will be very interesting to see, should a bid be made, whether those individuals put the club before their own egos.

Money talks in all directions

They will look at their money in very fine detail, between them they put up £5M, they will not be looking to make a loss on that by a country mile, love for the club will be way down the list

OK, as we're in dream-land...

Perhaps Alan Curbishley is waiting on Milan Mandaric's move (to us hopefully) before he committs to a new job....

Dream-land:

Milan & Curbs arrive in December and start a new dawn.

you dont know how near to the truth that may be......:icon_cool

No, but if they have to remain in place in for the new regime MM, might say "feck this for a game of soldiers"

If he makes an offer and a majority of shareholders accept, I think you will find the others fall in to line pretty quickly. Once he reaches 90% he can buy out the remaining shareholders whether they like it or not.

I thought that only applied when it is a PLC company?

Yes, although it is not quoted on any stock exchange. Even though, I'm pretty sure the 90% rule applies. To be sure I would have to obtain a copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association to be sure, And I'm not paying Companies House for that! Even if it were not the case, if it reached that level I'm sure all shareholders would cash their chips in - it's absolutely pointless being a really small minority sharerholder.

You don't have to be a PLC to be listed, we audit a few non-listed PLC's ourselves.

Sorry RS I stand corrected. I thought they City was just an ordinary Ltd company after the admin fiasco.....:102:
