i enjoy seeing us sat at the top of the league, but there are only 3 to 4 decent ish sides in this league which takes the edge of it.
any side relegated from the championship obviously NEEDS to be relegated as they're not good enough.
since we cam down we've accepted that our good young players are our strength, jettisoned players who are suspect or don't fit our pattern of play - and importantly we haven't had to hear from Mandaric as things have been ticking over quite nicely.

for me all of this is about rebuilding and then allowing Pearson to invest in even more quality when we get back to the championship.

i nearly said 'where we belong', but where we belong as a city is in the Premiership.

I also suspect that there is a bigger gap between this league and the second tier than many of us accounted for.

You are right - all that NP can do is get us out of this league and then take it from there and I wouldn't assume that things would magically become easy next season if that happens (as i think it will).

Indeed and it would be no use NP taking us up only for us to fall well short and come straight back down again but I guess we won't know that until we get up.I would also hope MM would release some money for NP to add a bit of quality if we went up.However I am getting way ahead of myself here

If MM want us to push on up to the top of the champs and into the prem , then he will have to spend a bit to get us there but i will trust NP to get that right and the right players too ,he's done it well so far.

I take no pleasure in playing in this league at all and feel no great joy after any victories sure im happy for the three points but its three points we should be expecting against second rate opposition.
Its a shit league and im ashamed my club are in it. I would accept no outcome other than promotion. Then i would take no great pleasure in promotion as it only puts us back at base camp. We have a long long way to the promised land (if we ever see it again). I think we are playing better football than last season (this wasnt difficult) and i like to see attacking flowing football. I think with one battling midfielder and one striker we could stand a chance.

I've accepted where we are and I'm enjoying every victory whatever the circumstance.
