Haven't seen him but I am amazed anyone has seen enough of this lad to form an opinion. The only people who will truly no what this lad is capable of is Pearson and his coaching staff. Perhaps they have seen more than enough in training to see that he is worth giving a contract to. Hardly a massive risk IMO.
 
on the 25/30 minute showing on friday he looked terrible, he was trying to do too much fancy stuff and not getting away with it imo, i would extend his loan but not give him a contract on that performance, however if he does get a permanent deal then fair enough as pearson et al havent made a bad signing as yet

Once the season ends, he will be out-of-contract with Liverpool - his loan can therefore not be extended.
 
Just give have him on trial during pre-season so he can have a bit more time on the pitch, if he looks like he might be any good then sign him up on a one year contract and take it from there. There really is no risk in signing him, I wouldn't have though he'd be on massive wages if we gave him a contract, so if Nige thinks he's good enough, give him a go.

I came home to watch City a few years back and Lewis made his debut.. Liverpool maybe, we won 2-0, the week before Wycombe I think it was?

He looked so calm on the ball and did the simple things really well I thought he was a bargain.

I never did get to see him play much after that, but based on what I heard from every single person that ever did he was absolutely gash.

Everybody has their good days I suppose.

your not that delusional, i remember him having a good game against liverpool as well!

We certainly beat Liverpool 2-0 just a week before the Wycombe debacle, but that was not his debut. He made that in a mid-week game at Southampton just over a month earlier.

To my mind Junior Lewis was nowhere near as bad as many City fans made out. He hardly cost us anything and we got as much as could be expected for that kind of money. A lot of the trouble was that Lewis was always thought of as having a close connection with Peter Taylor and people transferred there feelings for Taylor onto him. He was bad - but not that bad. There were others in the side who deserved greater stick.
