I for one will be extremely pissed off if the deal doesnt go through and would expect a full and complete explanation from the board as to why it hadnt. If this wasnt satisfactory or it emerged the deal had fallen through because of self-interested board members I would quite happily join whatever boycott/ protest/riot anyone may organise.

I agree.

I think the 'backlash' will be in the form of significantly lower ST sales for next season, but the miserable state of the club for quite a time now has reduced fans expectations.

My reading is that fans accept that the club is bobbling about in the lower and middle reaches of the second tier and without MM - the only way is slow decline. Also - I think it's a case of 'What's the point?'. Even if there were boycotts and demonstrations it would make no difference. The current board is impotent, everyone knows it is impotent and not a lot can be done to change things.

We have made this clear to the board that if the takeover does not go ahead they need to be as open as legally possible about why it didn't & then detail what plan B is.
