The thought suddenly struck me that if I were a player at this club and read the posts on this and other forums I'd definitely not want to perform well at this club. I don't think there's one player in the current squad who's escaped criticism from the masses at some stage or other. They must have thicker skins than me. I'd be on the first transfer out of here. I'm probably going to cop abuse myself for saying what I just have but I'm trying to see it from their point of view. And quite frankly they must hate us.

Shsshhh - the fans are the best in the country and never have a negative impact on the players.

I think you are giving too much credence to the views of a few geeks on this new-fangled interwebby thingy :icon_bigg

In the grand scheme of things, there's probably only a few hundred out of the 20,000 or so home crowd that even post views on forums.

So you think the players are blind and don't get on the net? I'll bet even if they don't they know someone who does. Anyway I'm trying to see things through their eyes and the view is ugly.:icon_conf

What I am saying is that even if they all subscribe to TB, FT and whatever else it is still only the views of a couple of hundred people (if that).

It is a minority compared to the amount of people who are at the Walkers.

I'm sure the precious egos can cope with that.

Sorry, I don't understand what you are trying to say.

You seem to have the correct words but not necessarily in the right order. Or some words are missing perhaps?

"Believe it or not ... wrong". Was what I meant to post, however admin wouldn't let me change it when I realised I'd stuffed up. I've seen criticism of Fulop too. Not recently but there has been.

Yes, but it has never been vitriolic to the extent that most of the others have suffered.

Criticism of Marton has tended to focus on minor things like:

Poor distribution
Awful kicking
Woeful handling
Inability to deal with crosses
Poor judgement
Lack of communication with defence
No bravery

You know, the sorts of things that don't really matter in a goalkeeper :icon_wink





Do I need to spell it out that this post is tongue-in-cheek? Probably!
