Nigel Pearson has made an improved bid of £750,000 for Stoke’s Ben Marshall.
Leicester boss Pearson is keen to bring in wingers before the transfer deadline.
Marshall, 20, who impressed on loan at Sheffield Wednesday earlier this season, could join the Foxes this week.
Hopefully we can get him in time. Does he mainly play on the left or right?
Foxes agree Marshall fee
Sky Sports understands Leicester have agreed a fee with Stoke for highly-rated winger Ben Marshall.
Leicester boss Nigel Pearson has made a new wide-man one of his top targets during this month's transfer window and he is hoping to land Marshall.
Marshall is currently back at Stoke after a successful spell on loan at Sheffield Wednesday during the first half of the season.
Wednesday were keen to make the move permanent, while a number of other League One and Championship clubs expressed an interest in his services
Marshall is out of contract at the end of the season and Stoke have decided to cash-in on him after failing to agree a new deal with the skilful attacker
Stoke have now granted Marshall permission to hold talks about a possible move to the King Power Stadium and Pearson will be hoping to tie up a deal for the in-demand winger before Tuesday's deadline.
