Surely that entails calling her a bigot? If not to her face.

That's what I was implying. As I said before I bet messrs Clegg & Cameron have said in private some dammned rude things about people they have met on the stump, if not they are not human IMO. Brown forgot he had the radio mic on when making what he thought was a private comment, and he is no doubt feeling like a complete and utter plonker. I'm not saying he's a fantastic chappy and other politicians will make hay out of this for a day or so. I just think they ought to bear in mind " there but for the grace of God go I ".

I would have said worse things if I had been arguing with that hysterical woman, I thought it looked like she was just happy to be in front of cameras and give Brown a bollocking without listening

I think you might feel it quite controversial if you asked the PM an innocent question and he called you a bigot.

Not if I actually was a bigot, and was asking stupid questions such as "where do these eastern europeans keep coming from" like this ignorant stupid old bigot did

I campaign every day with my local Labour MP and what Gordon has said today hasn't helped things. We all say things we regret later, and Gordon is no different. He has sent party members an apology, which you can see mine below.....

As you may know, I have apologised to Mrs Duffy for remarks I made in the back of the car after meeting her on the campaign trail in Rochdale today. I would also like to apologise to you.

I know how hard you all work to fight for me and the Labour Party, and to ensure we get our case over to the public. So when the mistake I made today has so dominated the news, doubtless with some impact on your own campaigning activities, I want you to know I doubly appreciate the efforts you make.

Many of you know me personally. You know I have strengths as well as weaknesses. We all do. You also know that sometimes we say and do things we regret. I profoundly regret what I said this morning.

I am under no illusions as to how much scorn some in the media will want to heap upon me in the days ahead.

But you, like I, know what is at stake in the days ahead and so we must redouble our campaigning efforts to stop Britain returning to a Tory Party that would do so much damage to our economy, our society and our schools and NHS, not least in places like Rochdale.

The worst thing about today is the hurt I caused to Mrs Duffy, the kind of person I came into politics to serve. It is those people I will have in my mind as I look ahead to the rest of the campaign.

You will have seen me in one context on the TV today. I hope tomorrow you see once more someone not just proud to be your leader, but also someone who understands the economic challenges we face, how to meet them, and how that improves the lives of ordinary families all around Britain.

Regards,

Gordon

So you can't ask questions about immigration without being a bigot?

Tell the one eyed Scottish twat to **** off and keep his gob shut.

Bigot - "a prejudiced person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from his own",

I think GB needs to look up the word, she didn't come across as intolerant, more frustrated. Frustrated with what is happening to this great country of ours.

As for not knowing his radio mic was still on, just highlights more of the man's incompetence. (Especially after the no coach show in Madrid.)

Bye bye Gordon, not nice knowing you (shouldn't have got the role in the first place)

But Gordon you reached for the B word fairly quickly in the piece. There was no confusion, this is what you thought. To me it just shows the contempt he has for the ordinary voter. :zip:

I feel sorry for Brown, although I know I shouldn't.

I work as a waiter, and I bitch about a lot of the tables we have in. So I kind of relate to the situation.

But for me this makes no difference. I wouldn't vote Brown because in the 13 years he's been in government he's buggered up on so many things that affect everyone in this country. This one remark wouldn't change my vote.

If he had done a great job over the past 13 years and I thought he was able to run the country I would still vote for him based on his record, rather than a remark.

If that stupid old **** is 'the ordinary voter' then I fear for this country.

What do people find more offensive, GB's comments yesterday or David Cameron using our money to fund his election.

Lord Ashcroft, the Belize Billionaire, and Tory donor, has deprived this country of hundreds of millions of pounds in taxes with his off shore business's, and used that money to fund the Tories election campaign. Now thats offensive, along with the tax break the Tories are going to give to the 3000 richest people in this country, a return to fox hunting and wanting to close down surestart schools, to name a few.

fox hunting is a good thing, you need to see how many of the ****ers I have around here!

I do wonder what the public opinion would be if the ranting was made by a charva in a shellsuit and not an old dear?
