I thought Newton was utter boll*x until he scored, thats all he did also went on one good run from the half way line but Hume fecked it up. Newton couldnt pass the ball, so all in all it was an ok performance from Newton..

If he had left it I think DannyC was behind him in a better position to easily score. That cost us a point

For those of you that went last night, do you believe that if we can carry the performance of the last 20 minutes against Brum into the final three cames, are you confident, maybe the wrong word, are you hopeful that we can squeeze out those crucial status saving points?

Yes, but that's a helluva big IF, they need to be able to sustain that level of play for the whole 90 mins, not just turn it on and off at will. If they can do that, then we might just scrape through, but like I said, it's a big IF.

What a load of old crap. I thought they looked very nervous at the back and were saved, on more than one occasion by the goalie, how on Earth he kept Stearmans header out I will never know. I think had we had a little bit more confidence in front of goal, as well as more height in the box, we would have seen a very different result.

It's not like that. The season's story for sides that get relegated is full of stuff about " if we fight like that in our next game etc etc". Teams like Leicester find any number of ways to lose a game and teams playing against us know we are weak in at least 3 of the four departments and currently dues to injuries, weak in all 4 departments. They know we have little special to offer so they can play their own game.

The fact is that we have gone about 10 games without a win and everyone, without exception, fancies their chances of beating us - home and away.

My take is that we are currently the very worst side in this division and everyone knows that the club from a playing point of view is in turmoil.

If we take the Barnsley game. Who will be most up for it? Who is most likely to give it a real go and battle it out?

Our best chance lies with Hull not being able to pick up sufficient points. But if we go into the last game against Wolves still needing points and given that they are likely to still need points to ensure a play off place - then I think its curtains.

Especially as we were intent on hoofing the ball for the first hour to Hume and fryatt who were dwarfed by Brums defence.

I was bloody fuming that was happening, their defenders were coping pretty well with the hoofball tactics but then when they changed the front two they started playing the ball on the ground we started to get in behind them and as we all saw, looked a hell of a lot better.

I heard Mattock got better and better as the game went on? Who else would you have played in those positions Shents?

TBhH I thought second half Mattock looked quite comfortable being out there.
