From what I heard on the radio I think that we have a chance. Lets not forget we did have two efforts cleared off the line in the end. Def. think that the line up for the next game should be.

Henderson
Kenton/Stearman Kisnorbo McAuley/Johann Johann/Mattock

Newton weslo Hume/Hughes(i never thought I would say that) Hume/Mattock

Horse Cadma

I def Mattock has to start in some position and I would put hume in midfield rather than up front.

The game changed when Horsefield came on because they were bullies and Horsefield wouldn't take it, he was the strength we needed from the start.

Especially as we were intent on hoofing the ball for the first hour to Hume and fryatt who were dwarfed by Brums defence.

since Levein came here we have been corrupted by two managers with little tactical knowledge of this division, as a result we have had 3 years of small, weak players. Me and my dad were talking last year about it, and it's the same this year, the teams at the top aren't playing amazing football, they are just big strong bullies with 6' 4" players who can command the pitch. We need this if we are to challenge, it was proven yesterday with Horsefield against their huge defenders.

I think it is more than likely that Leeds and Barnsley will overtake us.

Hull have more of a problem and may save us.

The path to relegation is paved with narrow home defeats and lots of 'positives'.

I didn't go to the game but I know enough to realise that we will not save ourselves and can only rely on others. All the talk about inconsistency is now exposed as rubbish...we are just plain bad. Bringing Worthington in was a logical move, but he ain't the bloke to take this club anywhere -imo.

So you are confident that they will get something out of Derby and Southampton both in the Play Off or Promotion hunt both away from home.IMO Leeds home match against Ipswich is a massive massive game for them

Nail. Head. Hit!

(Apart from the spelling of Horsfield) :icon_wink

I am still on a downer from last night, dont know how to cheer myself up. I thought that Newton was my mom he covered loads of ground, wished The horse had come on earlier... and Hughes was better than Jarrett for a change..
Someone cheer me up please!

team selection was just plain wrong last night. was compleatly the wrong time to give young players experiance. I'm sure Matock Weso an Logon (i know they have played a bit this year when we have been missing players)will all be quality players in the coming seasons, but matock esspecaly just couldnt get into the game exept for one good run.

I heard Mattock got better and better as the game went on? Who else would you have played in those positions Shents?

Danny C probably. don't get me wrong i'm all for giving young players a chance but in a massive game like that particulaly on his first start its a lot to ask

mattock was playing left mid but hes a left back

Future star Dont see how he was one of our best players when he hardly touched the ball and didn't give any width as he kept coming in field looking for the ball.
