It is if you are travelling via the M62 as I earlier suggested to somebody who doesn't like the M6. But if you're coming up the M6, it's perfectly possible to cut across from Wigan to Horwcih - not really too much of a loop, honest!

don't really have a choice but to travel DOWN the M6 or across on the M62, unfortunately. any pubs on that route that arent poo?

Not happy about the pub news FITZ having not been to Bolton was hoping for at least one watering hole, oh well will have to settle for a KFC and a Strawberry milkshake, either that or risk the ass whooping by putting me northern accent on and mixing with the locals in the pub!

I would think you would find somewhere in Chorley that would suit your needs. Or try the White Bear, Market Street, Adlington. Far enough away to be without bother but near enough for a short drive to the ground.

We've been to the pub that's in the shopping centre, it's not brilliant, and if you don't wear colours or talk to the bouncers when you go in, it's no real bother. Once inside it was as tame as anything. The police know nothing.

Gateshead? then you won't be touching the M6. I would expect you to come over the M62 and up the M61. The pub that I told you about at Adlington is only about 4 miles from J6 of the M61; if you have enough time and a map, you should be able to find it.

its usually easier to get across to the north west from mine by using the A68 and 69 to go across to carlisle then down the M6, the A1(m) north yorkshire adds a stupid amount of time with its 2 lanes and lorries overtaking each other
