Can’t believe he hasn’t been sacked yet. He almost literally shit in Tops private jet last night.
He pretty much said the same as what Parker said the day before he got sacked.

He was double dropping Senokot before taking his seat on the plane!!

There is if you have any intention of winning on Sunday.

The players haven't downed tools for Rodgers, so it's not a lack of effort. And any new manager, even as caretaker, would have no time to do anything between a Thursday and Sunday game - likely to be 1 day of training.

It wouldn't make any difference for Sunday.

He’s playing the media beautifully, garnering their support, blaming the lack of recruitment and some players individually, and pretty much goading the Board to sack him and get humungous pay-off rather than resign

I fear that many of you will soon get what you want: Brendan Rodgers departure from LCFC. All I can say, is batten down the hatches...

There has been a fairly solid group pushing for this but, I suspect that there will be strong disagreement as to his potential replacement AND universal disapproval of the eventual appointee.

I'd guess our best hope is that someone else comes in for him (although I can't see who, or why, at the moment) and we agree to let him go for little to no compensation.

He clearly has had enough here now with these comments and if we were a so called bigger club, the media would be all over these comments asking WTF is going on.

Quite.

When Top is coming out basically saying we have no money to spend - before an unplanned £30m payout to Rodgers if we get rid - then it's not going to appeal to any top targets who are currently in a role.

All we do on here is talk.

It’s up to the club to take a positive step in terms of our season and right now Rodgers is actively looking to be sacked in my opinion.

In fairness, you did the same for NP, I seem to remember.

It’s the easiest thing in the world to say ‘be careful what you wish for’ and it’s often followed by an ‘I told you so’

In the mind of the person saying it it comes across as wisdom.

Actually, you've picked the one manager that I wanted to go. I couldn't stand the 'macho' approach he adopted towards the end of his time here. :)

You are, however, correct that I am usually cautious about big changes. Look at the successful clubs that don't fling money about, they tend to get a manager and stick.

Whoever is to blame for the fiasco of Rodgers saying that we were going to refresh the squad and the subsequent revelation that we're spent up, I don't see recent publicity leading to a queue of top managers ready to step in. I believe we are likely to end up with either Dyche, or similar - a dour make do manager who will keep us up for a season, or two - or a 'bright' EFL manager of unproven talent.

PLEASE feel free to laugh at me when Pep quits Manchester City for the challenge: I shall be DELIGHTED, in this instance, to look a fool!

I think it's a very fair point as we are most certainly not the attractive option we were, to players or managers, just a couple of seasons ago.

Saying that though, some of Rodgers recent comments are crazy and it is clear that he is no longer fully committed - saying stuff like the club is not what it used to be is him basically saying he was sold a lie.

It's a crazy shit situation we have found ourselves in but if the management are no longer fully committed, why would the player be either, especially given the contract situation of half the squad.

I think he'll get a bit longer as we clearly don't have the money to get rid of him but things can't remain as they are. relegation would be absolutely disastrous for us and we would be ripe for a double relegation like Sunderland were as we would literally have to get rid of the whole squad and start again.

As I heard nothing from the club (although, why would I)? perhaps BR planted this story in the clear knowledge that he wasn't getting any fund-wise support in order to then be able to:

1) Discredit the club
2) Be able to show all and sundry that the impending failure was in no way, due to BR
3) Allow him to manoeuvre (on the playing side) our demise and eventually force our hand in dismissing him resulting in his subsequent pay-out

There is something I hold onto in all of this, and I believe it is pivotal, do I believe LCFC or BR? In my opinion and based on what I have seen during both tenure's, the club has integrity and BR proves again and again that he lacks this amongst other things.
