Just a wee bit of over doing the despondancy on here I think. If people actually thought we were going to have this League sewn up by Christmas then they were mistaken. We are going through a lean patch it happens to every team

i dont think anyone is saying we would walk this league, but we have had a habit of not winning games regularly over the last few seasons and maybe theyre a bit worried about that :102:

It is rather ironic that we lost a 2 goal lead to a Mickey Adams team.......

Come on,some of then on here saw us at the top and expected us to be 9 points clear by now.Expectations of some are massive and way too ott.I believe some will want Pearson out if we don't win Saturday..Mentalists

More or less agree.

People have allowed themselves to get carried away by a couple of wins and are now equally carried away by a run of disappointing results.

The only teams that don't have bad runs from time to time are those that are overwhelmingly superior and we just aren't in that category. There will also be a bit in this about individual players and patterns of play getting sussed and also our lack of options when things start to go wrong.

Providing we are up with the pace in the top six in January, I think we we will be doing ok.

Is there a reason why Morrison isn't playing? In the games I've seen he was by far our best central defender.

I would think the return of Kisnorbo has put him down the pecking order.I'm not too sure why Kisnorbo went straight back into the side. Our defence seemed settled and now it appears disrupted

Scunthorpe, Leeds and the rest will all go through patches during the season where they lose a few. Carlisle are also going through theirs at the minute, they will still be well up in the playoffs by the end of the season IMO.

It was about time this happened, we kept the same team for 3 draws when we needed a change, we still have the game in hand so its not end of the world, but we can't afford to drop points its too close at the top

What are you talking about? We had different starting elevens for all of the three draws!

You keep going on and on about the need for change but you seem to be blind to the fact that significant change is impossible at the moment. Were you one of those campaigning for the early return of Mattock to the side? That went really well, didn't it? He was rushed back before he was match-fit, disrupted the defence, got a booking, got subbed and got dropped - all in the space of 91 minutes. A real boost to Leicester City and a real boost to Joe Mattock and his confidence.

The game in hand is now nowhere near as significant as it was; and a game in hand is worth nothing to a team that doesn't get a point from it. About the only thing I do agree with you about is that it is not the end of the world - although our opinions on what is 'the end of the world' probably differs so much that it is a hollow agreement.

The truth is that we are going to have to rely on essentially the current group of players to get us out of this mess. You can forget about change of the kind that you are yearning for.

i thought he was poor at oldham

Yeah i agree he was poor at Oldham. looked a yard off the pace.

But agree he has been our better defender this season and everyone has a bad game now and again. I do think he is miles better than Hobbs.

Not been impressed with the Liverpool pair of Hobbs and Martin at all!:098:

Time for Hendo to come back in my opinion too.

I think we desperatly need another midfielder and striker. I'm not sure how berner played last night but dont think he'll be the answer. I'd of loved to have seen someone like Graham Kavanagh down the city. strong, good passer of the ball and experianced. i think him and oakley would of been a good combo with king to come off the bench.

striker wise i'm hoping dickov gets match fit asap just to give us another option. we need a regular scorer from this division who should get more chances at our club imo in the window

This will be the kick up the arse the players need.

No excuses for losing when 2-0 up and I am certain Pearson will having given them a bollocking after the game.

I agree its a big game at the weekend and the team need to put in a performance. I just hope the fans don't turn on them after 20 minutes if it is still 0-0.

He looks like he about to kick the shit out of someone!

I hope not

We all know that it is counter productive to criticise the players if they do their job badly

It is no help at all, and I am convinced that our recent shocking form is due entirely to Pearson saying that 'we could have done just a little tiny bit better' when we drew with Oldham

What he should have been doing was giving them all a special pay bonus for trying really really hard, and cheering them as they got on the coach to come home
