Burried deep within the above article is the news that Campbell is out for up to 12 weeks. This is too long for a club in the relegation zone. This means there is an urgent need for 2 new forwards. I only see Hume as good enough to play - and that's with a new midfield and a new winger behind him.

So that the forward line can have chances created for them the team needs an effective winger and 2 more midfielders to add to Weslowski and Clemence so that there are 5 people competing for 4 places. Clemence is I would think, capable of far more with the right players around him. Ditto for Weslowski. He is a Lennon type player - a necessary defensive cog in the midfield machine. A link player that is mostly defensive but can contribute a share to attack - provided there are better creative players around him doing the lions share.

Both are fcuking sh*t !!!!
We need two new forwards or we're in deep, deep sh*t!

Agree with the succinct comment that without 2 good forwards (& I would add a winger) the club are going the way of Forest a couple of years ago - div 1. Disagree with your comment about Hume though. Within a good team, he can earn a place. At least he has some fire in his belly. In an underperforming team I agree he isn't cutting it, but few are. With some good signings around him though...

Sorry to disagree with Alex. Fryatt consistently shows he needs to move on to try to resurrect any last remaining vestiges of the talent he showed under Kelly.

Not bothered, IMO it gives us the opportunity to allow the rest of our strikers to gain a better understanding of each other. It's not as if DJ has set the world alight since arriving here is it?

I think we have been and will continue to miss DJ. I honestly think he will come good and had started to score regularly before he got injured.

I couldn't give a f*ck what he did for Birmingham, why couldn't he score regularly for us?

Same reason why our other strikers don't: dog shit service.

I think we need to really go back to basics & start with the burgers.
Get the service of fastfood right & it's bound to filter through to the midfield.

"Would you like fries with that?"
"Yes please Shaun"

In fairness, I actually think Newts gets a lot of unfair stick on here. At least he tires..... :001:
