Cancelling BA Ticket to NY

I wouldn't mind so much but he earns a big 6 figure salary. He never has been able to grasp the fact that i didn't need or want his money, whereas his other kids are always on the cadge.

I looked into it, the ticket cannot be canceled but as Newts said i think it can be changed for an admin fee.

What annoys me is that he told my mum that i owed him all of this money rather than coming to me first.

Sounds too me that he's got no back bone at all

So this thread rears its ugly head again.

I was sent a letter by my ex's father yesterday wanting 1k for a few items which are nothing short of ludicrous.

He has asked for £302.80 for the flight to New York and even attached the receipt and highlighted the part that says "Non Refundable", whats amusing is right next to that text its says Change Fee £50.00.

He has also claimed that i owe him £500.00 for a fence he gave me money for, this is complete bullshit as far as i was concerned the money was from my Ex's substantial savings with no hint of coming from him. If i had known that then there is absolutely no way on gods earth i would have accepted it. It has never been mentioned to me before and it was erected in April/May '06!!

I have also been asked to pay back the rent from January as my ex moved out on the 4th. As part of a deal i let her have the £250.00 coffee table and clear the joint account out which had roughly £200.00 in. She also still has my SatNav worth £150.00

My Ex earned 30k a year and gave me £200.00 a month of which i paid her gym membership so my NET income from her was less than £150.00!

I feel aggrieved that this prat can write to me making demands and then tell me not to contact his daughter who has clearly fed him a pack of lies.

I have a good mind to ask for £3600.00 in back rent for the last two years.

You're correct not too Drew. My Auntie is going through a similar thing, most of the claims made her ex are hot air - however the problem is that the mortgage was in his name and she paid him by cash - feck all proof that she paid the mortgage.
