Only just caught up with this thread today, cracking read.

Can someone let me know when Series III is due to start - I sure to shit hope it doesn't have a scene with Drew waking up in the shower and realising it was all a dream. That would be so passe.

Feck me Drew, who is this guy? (Don't say ex future father-in-law)

No written agreement, no verbal agreement, just his thoughts on decency.

Do you have a car, did you drive his beloved daughter around in it? Charge her the going rate for taxi service. If it is a greater sum than he says you owe him, say you'd expect a cheque by return, or shall we call it quits?:icon_cool

Yes i'm afraid he was the ex future father in law, glad i got out of that relationship.

The thing is it's all bullshit. I never knew he had given money for the fence. If at the time i had been told i would have flatly refused. I'm really annoyed about that part.

His use of Gift is irritating, it's obvious he doesn't understand the meaning of the word.

As for the flights, he booked them direct with BA, so why would he contact 'The travel agent'. It states on the receipt he sent that they were transferable, two lies right there.

I can do without this hassle and its a slight on my personality. If i find out he has said anything untoward about me i might slap a slander lawsuit on him.

The majority of me wants to ignore it on the other hand i wanted it finished with, either way he won't be getting a penny from me unless a court says otherwise and i think that's unlikely.

From that letter the only thing that holds any water to a normal sane human is the bit about her paying Januarys rent, however from what you have said previously I do believe that 1 "month" rent does not cover half of the dual payments and she has paid near enough feck all rent the rest of the time, so his argument is moot.

He sounds like a daddy protecting his little princess.

He does not have a leg to stand on Drew.

When he confirmed these flights as a gift, did he mention to you that they were only being given on the grounds that you had a relationship with his daughter?

The guy sounds like the most irritating ill informed father in law money could buy. Im surprised your ex is not entirely embarrased about the way her Father is acting, and although i don't know the full story it sounds like you had a very near miss.

His behaviour is actually a form of harrasment, I reccomend you reply to him one final time stating simply that you feel harrased and if he attempts to make any further contact with you either verbally or through the mail system that you will make a formal complaint. He will either put his money where his mouth is and take you to court or he will crawl back into the woodwork.

It may seem petty but reply with a list of things that you have paid for (e.g rent) and also highlight the Sat Nav, coffee table and saving she took from the bank. Assuming this is more then what he is asking for, tell him that if he doesn't stop harassing you, it will be you who is taking her to court for the money she owes you. That should stop him sending idotic letters.

ignore it
No way, that last comment in the letter about 'unfinished business' was a threat and he's calling you a pussy.
Have some balls drew, go round there and put his windows in, then tell him about all the unspeakable things you did to his daughter.

ps. does Jane need any counselling, i'd be happy to offer my services.

:icon_wink

thanks for popping that space in for me :)

That letter is amazing. That gives me real inspiration for how I am going to **** with my daughter's future boyfriends.

Drew - lob it back in the envelope, scribble "Not known at this address" across the front and bung it back in the letterbox.

That guy is a first class prick...I feel ashamed that I'm not in his league.

Think i'm going to consult a lawyer in the morning, i do feel harassed and clearly this won't stop until i get an official letter sent.

He's appealing to my morals, sadly he's misaligned with untruths, poor guy this must be really eating him up.

Go along the harassment line mate.

Think i'm going to consult a lawyer in the morning,........

It would be cheaper to pay the **** off

Just put together a simple letter saying that the matter is closed as far as you are concerned, and if he continues to harrass you in this way then you will take legal action against him

Might also be worth putting in that you are copying all of his correspondence to date to his daughter, as i suspect she won't have a scoobie what the mad wanker is doing
