By all accounts it was a better display. Was King on the bench.

Waits, for King Klux Klan members to respond.

He should have played. He scores important goals y'know.

Has anyone got the highlights from that Welsh site?

I left before the end so missed the last two goals.

mwahahahahaha!:icon_lol:

bless their little cottons.

And no, I wasn't with the thing covered in tattoos.

Seeing as I had posted how shite the away concourse is on my FB before the game started, very much doubt it had owt to do with me being bitter we lost.
I'm not. Annoyed yes. Defensive feck ups to concede two goals in stoppage time does piss me off. I don't think they were better than us though. I didn't want the replay but when you get to 90mins you are thinking about your name being in the hat for the 5th round. Ah well wasn't to be!

And I might as well point out I don't much our ground either, in fact the only thing I like is the huge badge on the glass front.

I have to say out of all of the new grounds I've been to, that is probably the worst. But I'm sure the away ends at these places are never as 'nice' as the home areas. I know ours isn't having been in that bit when Brazil played Jamaica.

I dunno...it gets a bit sad when you can't make any critical comments about grounds and suchlike without being accused of being a sore loser!......good job my Welsh friends take my comments in good humour, I go there far too often!!

Anyhoo.......back to the match....when is Berner back? cos I don't know how much longer I can bite me lip when I want to shout at McGivern.....

This game completely summed up City for me.
I was watching Final Score when they went to the game for a comment while we were leading 2-1.
According to the guy they had at the game we were brilliant (that's a direct quote)...half an hour later we've conceded 3 goals & lost the game.
Completely & utterly unable to convert dominance of a game into goals.Definitely been the case all season...& it sometimes seems to me that I've been saying the same thing since 1975! :-(

Not concerned about going out of the Cup. It's less than significant in the big scheme of things. Our record of one 1/4 final since 1982 though is really pants.

Looking at the soft goals we conceded once again, we badly need a strong, new influence at the centre of defence. Brown simply isn't delivering. He plays well on occasions but his average performance is not good enough. He may be big talker, but first and foremost he must be a good defender.

Hobbs or Morrison need to be alongside someone with more quality and authority. I guess this is why we appear to be chasing Taylor from Brum. Hopefully, he can be recruited and has these attributes.

Yet again Weale was culpable for conceding really badly from long range. He was also generally AWOL for all the last two goals and a couple of other chances weakly bounced off him straight into the centre of the goal. Despite the plaudits this season, I'm yet to be impressed apart from one home game not long ago (can't recall who is was against but Weale was excellent that day).

I prefer us playing with two central midfielders rather than trying to fit three into the side. We have plenty of options across midfield and up front so it's a case of finding the right blend of players on form. However, our midfield and front players are all incredibly inconsistent. Surely with all the focus on sports science and the supposed meticulous preparation at the club, the opposite should be the case?

I do also question the replacement of Gradel with Solano. Maybe it will turn out to be genius but, on the surface, I can't help thinking that it's a terribly backwards Micky Adams-type move.

I was pleased with the team selection yesterday and there were good options and signs of greater attacking threat, but in the end we were let down by sloppy defending and a failure to take advantage when on top.

You travelled all the way to Cardiff and left at 2-2, in a game where either team could win it? :102:

Would we have been number 4 then? is that how it works.

That is exactly how it works. Each team is given the number which relates to the order their tie came out in the previous round, exactly as occurs in the Prediction Cup.

I thought the number allocation was random, in that case I guess we would have been drawn with Chelsea then.

Why does talkingballs look so much more professional than virtually every other football forum?
Our MB is a shambles. There's currently 20+ threads been started about the Chelsea game. Non CCFC threads are lumped in with the main stuff, and whilst there are several knowledgable posters on there, they're heavily diluted by attention seekings children.
You'll probably have noticed I only have seven posts recorded on there. That's because the site keeps having to archive older stuff to stop the server filling up. This means if you dont post for a while you virtually go back to zero.
I've also had to download an ad blocking add on to Firefox to be able to use the site with any sort of speed.
Are you available in the transfer window to sort it out Jeff?
