i think MA has realised how bad our attacking line up was last season and i think Hume will be going to the right winger role because he has got the pace and the strenght to run pass players, so we can have two big forwards, one to win the headers and one to have the pace to reach the flick on's

Re: New Signings

He didnt even get a start for MK Dons :confused:

Not quite so - he started in both the play-off fixtures, although he only finished one of them. So this is a bloke who has only had one full game in the whole of his league career.

Obviously one for the future!
:icon_cry:

Horseshit signings.....if their wages will take up the bill for the likes of Saganowski, Hendrie, Kishnieve. I will be very pissed off.

Not good, fecking awful.

Currently 2/10 on pre-season excitement level.

If we are to field an extra team each week next season (the reserves league) then the squad will need significant strengthening - especially with the departure of about 10 players out of contract / transfer listed / sold.

Not all of the new faces will be instant first team regulars, so we should expect a few "unexciting" acquisitions. Including a few who will have the chance in the reserves to prove either they are not has-beens, or that they can make the step up. Just like it used to be in the dim and distant past.

Anybody stopped to think for just a second before ranting and raving about the potential signing of these 2 players, for one I doubt anybody has seen enough of Jonathon Hayes to pass judgement on whether he is a decent signing or not.

Cort has played at the top level and if he can prove his fitness IMO could prove to a be a valuable addition to the squad. At no point does it say that these two players are definate first team starters, they could have been bought in with the view of adding much needed depth to the squad, I would imagine Cort will be seen as a valuable player to come on from the bench if we need to nick a goal or mix it up a little, what it will give us is options.

We have to be realistic, not every signing will be a big name, some of Brian Little and MON's best signings were players who appeared to have lost their way or relative unknowns. Lets welcome these players and give them the opportunity to prove themselves and then and only then should we pass judgement.

No one should be castigated without kicking a ball for the club.

:038::038::038: Totally Agreed, cort has proved he can play at the top level, just injuries let him down

Cobblers

We have all seen Carl Cort play, and we all know he is a useless injury-prone piece of shit. We are therefore fully entitled to say that it's a feckin' joke of a signing

Take your Martin Allen tinted specs off, wake up and smell the coffee

I ain't got Martin Allen tinted specs on, I didn't want the bloke appointed, however I think we should judge his signings once they start to play as a team, then judge if it turns out to be a good signing or not.

There are many examples of players who have struggled at clubs but then get a chance elsewhere and their career starts to take off again, all I am saying is give the poor feckers a chance.

Allen may view Cort as a second half substitute to give himself a different attacking option. Let us give the guy a chance first!

here here you lot need to listne to yourselves.

MA has been here 4 days, has done more in this pre season than we have seen since the last MA signed ageing war horses for the prem.

Give the guy a chance we haven't played a game yet FFS

MA will definitely be employing a target man at times during the season, quite possibly all of the time. Assuming MDV has effectively gone, we have no big strikers (again). No manager that's going to use a target man regularly would be a mad enough dog to think they'd get a full season of quality targetmanship from Carl Cort... would they? So I expect there to be another signing in that department but it will be interesting to hear what MA says if and when Cort does sign.

As for Jonathon Hayes: on the one hand he's already 20 and only just getting into the MK Dons side, on the other hand, Muzzy who?

We've turned a few average to good players into crap to woeful players recently. Maybe it's our turn to do the opposite: polish a few turds and watch 'em shine.

Brian Deane scenario, I fecking hated it when we signed him but the rest is history.
MM and MA are not stupid enough to throw big money at Cort with his history of injuries, he will be on small money or pay as you play.
Lets see what happens with the squad over the next couple of months, if Cort ends up number striker THEN we can have a go.

Chill yer beans guys.

To be fair he's scored one in three for Wolves. No-one's suggesting he's going to be the club's saviour and our ticket to the Premiership but the reaction to his signing has been startlingly negative.

Not that startling, depressingly.

It's not an 'exciting' signing, but these will arrive....already have.

I've not seen him play and I'm not even sure I really know anything about him. As with a lot of signings, I think we need to see what he is like before having a go over it. Still getting my seaso on Saturday despite not being totally excited by the signings, but I am excited by the coming season because of the changes overall at the Club. Whether things turn round for us next season remains to be seen, but I think we should all chill a little and wait and see what MA's reign has in store for us.
