At least, this year I have an excuse for being late with my Christmas shopping.
Problem is that I will have spent all my money on booze and there will be little left to actually shop for come the 22nd. ( if it comes). I worry about these things.

It won't, don't worry. I'm holding off on shopping too.

Less than 2 weeks to go!

Ive already eaten the final 3 days of my advent calendar - no way I'm missing out!

Waiting all month then dying before having the chance to eat them would be Alanis Morrisette irony!

Think yourself lucky, it's the day I finish work. I bet it doesn't blow until after 3.15 as well just to make sure I work to the end.

Burger at 2:05pm. Belching like crazy and severe indigestion by 2:45pm.

Never again I tell you. Those chains ought to be in front of the food kiosks.

Went down today at 38 mins. West stand concourse which serves block C1 had about 6 pies left at that point. The only choice was Balti and the bloke in front of me had the last but one hot chocolate. The shelves behind were empty.

Same in the east stand they sent a young girl out at half time to explain that there were no steak pies left people were still waiting for food long after the second half started. I blame wee willie johnson.

Jesus, anyone would think there was a football match you could have been watching at that time.

If I choose to go down at that time it's my problem. You don't pay for my ticket. The problem is if you go down once the half time whistle goes, you'll miss equally the same time if not more of the 2nd half because the queues are horrendous.

You don't want to miss out on a pie, that's for sure.

So eat before and/or after going to the match. Surely you can manage a three hour spell without a visit to the trough.

Exactly!

Why should I have to? They provide a service, and I wish to take advantage of that. My gripe is that they can't get something very simple right. As someone has pointed out, a lot of what they sell has ample of shelf life, and to be unprepared for selling something when they know how many people are going to be there is extremely poor.

I'm sure all the ticket holders you odge past on the way to the delicacy that awaits see it all as your problem too. Mind, if you can't last two hours without getting a pie down, perhaps you should take your problem to a doctor?

They provide a service...

No, they don't. You've already told us they don't. The economies of such a facility will never allow for the kind of service that you hope for.

I managed to get a pie, one of plenty left, at 2.55 in the south stand. No idea on the half time situation though as I avoid it like the plague due to the aforementioned queues.

I sit on an aisle seat so I 'odge' past no one. On both occasions over the past 2 weeks my problem has been with the drink situation. I only happened to overhear the pie situation because someone next to me asked for a different pie to what they had. I first posted on here to see if the problem was restricted to my area or the whole ground. Unless people speak out problems rarely get sorted, so I was hoping to gather some information and take it back to the club. Instead I've been subjected to abuse from idiots like you about not being able to do without food for a period of time which has got **** all to do with anything I've posted in this thread so far.

Yeah, but the idea that you can't go 2 hours without a pie is funny, while the idea that you can't go 2 hours without a pint is less so.

The queues in the North Stand were unusually long before the game on Saturday so we went down on 38 minutes, hoping to avoid the rush, but only just got back for the second half.

Also, I'm not sure how often they've been serving chips, but they were useless at getting them out. The four people in front of us all ordered them and were told to wait 5/10 mins for delivery. They've got nothing to lose by frying a shot-load of frozen chips in anticipation of a rush.

The complete and utter ****s that join their mates ahead of me in the queue can **** off as well.
