I sit on an aisle seat so I 'odge' past no one. On both occasions over the past 2 weeks my problem has been with the drink situation. I only happened to overhear the pie situation because someone next to me asked for a different pie to what they had. I first posted on here to see if the problem was restricted to my area or the whole ground. Unless people speak out problems rarely get sorted, so I was hoping to gather some information and take it back to the club. Instead I've been subjected to abuse from idiots like you about not being able to do without food for a period of time which has got **** all to do with anything I've posted in this thread so far.

It's strange isn't it that despite having the interests of fans at heart some posters dismiss this as a non issue, to be expected, par for the course, and even down to the fact that people who use the refreshments do so due to their own gluttony. The fact remains its a service available to all fans and is quite expensive and fans who do use it are being given a shoddy service
that is not good enough. You wouldnt accept it in any other area of the catering or retail world why should it be ok at a football match.

I'm with you both. Really, we should just accept it as the majority of what we are paying for is football - ideally at least marginally entertainment.

Have you ever been to the cinema to find the shelves empty or most items unavailable? What about at a theme park? Maybe shopping centre? A cricket match? A rugby match?

Thought not!

It's symtomatic of a wider malaise in the club. I mean, you all seem to think you're short in the striking department, there's chains popping up willy nilly, no significant crowd participation in the singing, and I can't remember the last time I saw a report on the condition of the pitch.

At this rate, you'll be in a relegation fight by St David's Day.

Have you ever been to a cinema, theme park or shopping centre which has to do all of its business in two periods which total about ¾ of an hour each fortnight?

Have you ever been to a cricket match?

Certainly not!!

The queues in the North Stand were unusually long before the game on Saturday so we went down on 38 minutes........

Each to their own of course, but the thought of missing 7 minutes plus additional of live action to go and stand in a queue for a pie is frankly weird to me.

Yep

What about at a theme park?

Yep

Maybe shopping centre?

Well, technically, yeah.

A cricket match?

Stop being gay, who goes to a cricket match?

A rugby match?

Now you're just being absurd

Thought not!

You thought what?

I don't think that makes it any more difficult, in a way it makes it easier.

The offering at a footy match is very limited for that very reason. You just need to buy enough and serve it all - hardly difficult with about (guess) 30 hot food and drink offerings.

If they can't serve it don't offer it. Heat up the quantities of food you have averaged previously and keep them hot - bingo.

Drinks, buy an urn and pour out loads 5 minutes before half time but don't add milk, then add the milk on request - bingo.

Rocket science it ain't.

Pie and Pint for £5. Is that much of a discount?

I think if they're purchased separately it would be around £6.50.

If you buy an adult ticket in H or K block for this match it would set you back £33, so to say you can get a ticket, pie & a pint for £20 seems good value to me. It's a poor deal though for STH's.

What if you don't drink alcohol and there are no pies left?
