We started weakly but grew into the game as we realised that the opposition weren't all that.

More of that please. A bit untidy in the middle of the park but did a job on Jorginho and Hazard for the most part. Fabulous goal, fullbacks amazing, Maddison had some swagger for the first time in a while. No idea what happened at the end when Alonso hit the post, itseemed like the whole team stopped, waiting for a free kick on the edge of their box.

Puel was talking a couple of days ago about sending Choudhury on loan. **** that, he’s better than what we have. Him and Mendy did well. I’d like to see Gray in for Ndidi on Boxing Day.

Chowdhury followed Hazard around diligently and did a really good job. Ndidi was pretty clumsy but no one had a stinker.
