Apparently MoFo's lad has agreed to dye his hair blue if we win this, albatross is having second thoughts about that
 
What is the best/cheapest method of travel to this one? Drive to Stanmore and tube it? train? or fox travel?
 
Driving to Luton parkway then getting a train might be a decent idea.
 
Are there trains directly to Stamford Bridge?

No, need to get the tube.

Not that I care since my niece has my ticket and I'll be landing in Tel Aviv as the match kicks off.

booked a train ticket from notts for £40 rtn, 1st class of course (with yp card) :cool:. Plus this was booked as Chelsea notched their second.

One of the London posters may be able to confirm but I would use Circle (yellow) or Hammersmith & City (pink) to Edgeware Road and change to the District (green) to Fulham Broadway. The Piccadilly Line (dark blue) serves many of the tourist sites therefore will get busy as well as stopping at more stations.

The recommended route is Piccadilly to Earls Court and then District to Fulham Broadway. The connection between Picc and District at South Ken is not a good one and, in any case, most of the District Line trains that serve South Ken go on to Ealing Broadway or Richmond.

There is nothing wrong with your suggestion of travelling via and changing at Edgware Road. All of the District Line trains that start at Edgware Road go to Wimbledon and therefore stop at Fulham Broadway. It's likely though to take slightly longer than the Picc/District route but you're more likely to get a seat than you would at Earls Court. You can take either the Circle or the Hammersmith & City line to get from KXSP to Edgware Road.

Whoa!! CANCEL THAT.

There will be no trains at all between Kings Cross St Pancras and Edgware Road on the day of the game - planned engineering work means that the whole of the Circle and that part of the Hammersmith & City line will be closed. You will have top use the recommended Picc/District route, changing at Earls Court.
