Im really hopeing we can get a really decent goalkeeper pretty soon , im sorry but Weale isnt good enough for us anymore, i watch his prematch warm ups every match at home and he cant hold on to a shot as consistantly as Logan and i certainly dont rate him ,
so if its Kirkland bring it on .
AND FOR GODS SAKE . A STRIKER OF CLASS.
 
If we do bring in Kirkland, and a striker, on loan; aren't we going to be in a position where we will not be able to play all our loanees in a game?
 
Good point len,so what do you suggest?Maybe Kirkland, or a Striker,or would it be possible to risk (if possible)resting one of the loanness?
i think we need to do something a least.
 
I was also under the impression if the player was 21 or under they didnt count towards the quota. May be wrong though.

Agree that he's been prone to injury previously but he's a better keeper than weale so it's up to den and sven to assess the risk.
If he keeps a raft of clean sheets before getting injured we'll still be well in the promotion mixer - which is all we're after really.

He played Cricket for Enderby. His uncle one of the lads who won the money was the club secretary at the time. There are photo's on the wall of Kirkland playing and in team photo's.

A club can have a maximum of four players under 23 and a further four over 23 on standard loan during the season. There is no limit on Emergency Loans.

However, only four players maximum can join one club from another during the season.

A maximum of five loan players can be named on a team sheet.

All this talk about loanees doesn't disguise Sven's strategy of getting players in just to avoid relegation. We won't make the play-offs and he knows it. The loanees are merely short-term fixes. What we need are some permanent signings and some stability so we can push for promotion next season.

We're 5 points off the playoffs and 5 points off the relegation zone... why are the playoffs out of reach, but relegation is a serious risk?

Sven, and I imagine all of us, will know that permanent signings are needed... but at the minute we can't get them in. Get good loan players in so we're still in with a shot in January, and see what happens.

Plus, we wouldn't be able to buy someone with the ability of Curtis Davies for example
