There are some posters in that lot who are going to need a lot of custard to help down the humble pie.

I fear I might be outed soon so I better do the honourable thing and hold my hands up.

Ranieri has proved me wrong, but I was certainly not the only one that was not inspired by his appointment, including a lot of so called experts. I think it was a reasonable mistake to make given his recent record.

What I would say is that he inherited good players with potential and importantly, in the end, belief that they belonged at this level. This squad is one of the best we've had for a long time and all scouted and developed over the last few years. He inherited a good structure and a good bunch of players.

Has he made them better players? Yes, he's helped them develop. Has he got the tactics and changes right? Yes, definitely. Is he ever so slightly mad and do we love him? 100%

So, I am eating that humble pie and I can't wait to see where he is going to take us.

Hmm, not sure you're allowed to change your mind and just be forgiven. Have some humble pizza pie and we'll be getting somewhere.

I was wrong. Can I just say though... Let's give him one whole season to make a real judgement. The real tests would be replacing someone like Vardy or dealing with the departure of the backroom team. Hopefully neither of these things will happen.

Football fans in forseeing success/failure incorrectly shocker

Oh my goodness, how could we ever live it down ?

I think this is a step up in tactical ability and in profile. I'm excited to see what happens now.

When you read through his history and see that he has improved every club he has ever managed surely this must be seen as a great appointment.

I know his time with Greece has been disappointing, but at clubs his record is fantastic.

I mentioned it before when we were speculating but I really feel he will raise the profile of the club, and when he leaves some of the 'dream' managers (e.g. Klopp) will be more realistic.

What the hell happened to Preki?

It could possibly be the sensationalist language you use that gives people the motivation to dig it up though.

I mean 'absolute shit, joke and comedy' all sound well reasoned but it doesn't leave much wiggle room.
