I think it's ludicrous FFS. They are at work.

Go to work, do your work and f*ck off home again. If you need to speak to a leader of your flock, do it in your spare time like "normal" people have to.

Over pampered prima donnas

sometimes you really do enforce my opinion that you are a complete tit.

If ever I insult you Dunc and resort to name calling , please feel free to do the same.

Ooops too late, you already have sunk that low. I am obvious a tad more superior in the manners department than you are. Nevermind

What's your opinion then Dunc?, or is it just the opposite to whatever mine is

:) ha ha

yeah come on dunc, let's have a proper slating

Is it just me or do I see no probelm in the club having a chaplain. Most clubs do. He's not getting paid and he's just an extra, comforting voice to have.

The bloke is not a faith heeler.

They're footballers for Christs sake (no pun intended), why do they need a comforting voice. I am sure we must have a team pshycologist for that

Psychologist would surely cost money. I dont expect City to pay for that unless there is a significant probelm.

Player goes through a divorce, hes not going to go into details with RK or his staff, is he?

OK, I see that. Didn't consider the finances.

But the world is evolving into a cotton wool society and I don't like it

I dont think they're is any need for faith bashing, hes there for people to talk to if they need to.

I don't think he's at the club to convert everyone to a christian......

Someone with some rational thought.

He's not banging on the door of the changing room getting the players to pray for salvation after a defeat, more so he is there to offer constructive advice (religious or otherwise) to players (mostly young academy players) who are in many cases 100's of miles from home and their families and who may not have anyone else they feel they can talk to impartially.

If they don't want to talk to him they don't, but to slate someone who is giving up a small amount of time per week to help the development of our young players doesn't seem such a bad thing.

If we didn't put in place advisory services to offer guidance beit spiritual or general then no doubt people on here would slate the club and say they were letting these young potential assets down and minimising the chance of success.

I'm an aetheist and wouldn't ask for spiritual advice but if I was away from home and wanted someone to confide in about any personal problems then having someone who is experienced in providing and helping with advice would give me some degree of comfort.

People on this forum just see a story and condemn the club/party/player/person for effect and it does my head in. And IMO its normally MF's posts that are reactionary, antagonistically or appear to be written as opinion presented as fact so thats why I think you are a tit.

Just my opinion I'm sure if I met you you'd be fine.

Please forgive me for spitting a bit of Stilton Cheese & Pork Pie over the screen in laughter as I read that last little comment. You've made my day Dunc.

Sometimes when you are feeling down in the dumps and mildly inferior to others, somebody will always come along and prove that it aint all that bad. Thanks

ps - My opinions are my fact, I apologise for sounding like I have conviction to my opinions. I do try not to write pretentious muck

Glad I could help, maybe if you went to a chaplain you wouldn't have feelings of inferiority in the first place.

As for pretentious muck, stilton cheese and pork pie springs to mind. :icon_wink
