I think ID is a considerably better manager than IH.

As a result of Mad Mandy's pathetic leadership so far, we are in no position to make a change. To get rid of IH now would probably result in all football managers across the world uniting in refusing to touch the club. We simply cannot afford to make another change, irrespective of clearly better managers being available.

If ID had been at the club a little over a year ago (as he should have been)when MM was delaying and generally trying to save himself a few quid, I venture to suggest that none of the shambles of the last year would have occurred.

He would also have saved the club millions of pounds we don't have. Instead, the clubs debt continues to accrue whilst we are no better off than this time last year.

Cos it's gone so well at Cov for him? and Charlton.

Obviously, it's a matter of opinion. You cannot compare Premier League records as IH has never managed there.

Overall IH has managed 222 wins in 587 games (38%) whilst ID has managed 106 wins in 271 games (39%). Not a lot in it but IH has much more experience in this league than ID.

Both have one relegation and one promotion on their CV. ID did it up to the Prem and down again. IH has taken a team down from the Champ and up again.

I've not got a problem with IH and would be totally against him leaving the club. However, I do contend that there are better managers available out there and it is our owners fault that this is, and must remain, the case.

The last manager I wanted rid of was Levein and only then in the week before he was ditched. Before that, I wanted Twatlor out the day he joined and loathed Pleat and Hamilton (I was too young to hate McLintock). Once you've appointed a manager, I think you have to back him or go with him. That is yet another problem with having a maniac owner with no idea about football. He hires and fires on a whim without anything personal riding on it.

He seems to have identified the problems but so far hasn't been unconvincing in solving them

Exactly.

It's easy to identify the problems with Leicester - much more difficult to solve them.

I always thought that Holloway and some supporters were putting too much store by January signings. That said, I think he has done enough to help us avoid relegation.

My scenario is that Milan has taken too much punishment to sack Holloway this season; that we will survive.....and sadly that not much will change next season. I think it would take someone really special to turn things round and will be pleasantly surprised if Holloway is up to that.

Having listened to the MM interview - he sounds seriously fed up.

He's seen millions of pounds wasted; absolutely no improvement in the performances and results.....and to be honest a series of what look like dud managers.

I may have to revise my view about Holloway being safe for this season - although I think he will stay put simply because MM couldn't easily find a replacement.

What a mess!

Dowie :102:

He would look at a caretaker again till end of season, maybe Reid for example.

Is it just bad luck that we havent got it right yet or is there something more undamentally amiss? :icon_conf

I think Dowie might be marginally better - but he seems to be on a bit of a downer lately!

I agree that if we do look seriously like going down - which i don't think we do at the moment - he would most likely bring in a caretaker manager.

Possibly Joe Royle in a similar way he did Worthington

In fairness to Dowie, hes had no funds at Cov, so not really his team that's under performing.

Lets face it, Ollie has said judge me on 'my' signings, hes already used the ' not my team' excuse. And we are still under performing.

The clock is ticking....................

I just cant see Holloway being removed this season regardless.

Looked at from where we are to-day. I can't see it either, but..... if we continue on a losing run then the mood will change and the pressure will grow and there will a momentum for change. It generally happens that way

If we get rid of Ollie this season I think that will be it for me. I cannot deal with this level of impatience, it is driving me round the bend. But, changing managers continuously hasn't had any negative effects over the last four years has it, so why should it start now? It will be easy for the next manager to come in here and turn this around, and of course we won't be calling for his head by the summer if it doesn't work out.

Feck's sake

Stop being so sensible. Sack Hollowords. He lies to the fans and gets a kick from people wearing masks of him. Hollowmasks.

SACK SACK SACK.

I for one hope Ollie does not go. This will mean he has strung together some good results, and hopefully good performances, with a team, that should be capable of both.

Warnock has turned things around at Palace, and Roeder at Norwich. Two managers that were not welcome here by many.

The fact is, and not to keep going over old ground, MM has the patience problem, its his club and you just know he will change things, if things start going 'pear' shape.

Nobody has started a 'Ollie out' thread yet.
