100.9p at Asda Fosse Park today. Cost me £42 to fill up, i reckon thats about £8 more than a year ago. On the basis that i need the petrol station about every 7 days thats a £400 increase in my yearly spending on petrol. Bring on the next election!!!!!!!!!

Why? Which party are going to lower fuel duty?

For me its not about what others will do, its about what those who have control are doing. With an election i have my chance to register my protest.
The goverment may be not responsible for the latest crop of increases but they still increase the tax on fuel whenever possible. Each increase that is made they are making millions extra through tax. In a time when people have endured massive increases in council tax, gas, water and electric bills, we dont need any further pressure putting on us with fuel tax rises. There is a knock on effect thats starting to show through. The hauliers are passing on their costs to the supermarkets and we are the ones that are suffering through higher prices in the food and retail markets.I am fortunate that i'm o.k with my mortgage, but thousands of people have not got a comfort zone because of the stated increases. The fact is English citizens are paying more for petrol than just about anyone else in Europe. I'm not asking you to agree, it is of course my opinion.

I think I understand what you're getting at BB, but wouldn't you be better speaking to a politician face to face to make your protest?

The reasoning behind how you've chosen to vote is going to be lost on the rest of the world, nobody will realise it's because you're pissed off at fuel prices.
