There iks no way the deal can be done this week is there? The final bid is only coming in thjis week and then the shareholders need to decide what to do. I am sure it will go through ... but in time for the Cov game. And who's to say when they get the final bid some shareholders will think "FXXX THAT" and just put more money in to math or beat MM. I know they have had 4 years to do it ... but seeing what they are supposedly going to get for their shares may bring them out in a cold sweat .... and open their wallets?

It's not the money that bothers me, it's the running of the club. if these continue to run it, I'm finished

Exactly. The silliness about these people suddenly opening up their wallets needs to stop. They have had years to put their money where there mouths are and it ain't happened and it ain't going to happen.

The club is being destroyed by weak leadership and it needs to be stopped now.

MM may not be Mr Moneybags - he may have a chequered history re. appointing managers etc etc, but he is a football man and has got a bit about him.

We need some leadership in and the people currently weakening the club out( that includes the current board and Kelly).

I seem to recall they raised circa £6 million to get the club out of admin - does that not count?

No, not anymore. When will people stop spouting this, if they take us down, it doesn't matter, they once got us out of Admin, but now it is running us into the ground.

We laugh at Forrest fans for going on about how they were once in Europe, but ourselves go on about how our current excuse for the board once helped us out.

Since that point it has been a slow decline

Why is it not relevant anymore - without that £6 million we would not be having any kind of discussion about LCFC. It's not exactly small beer is it, and probably more in hard cash terms than MM is giong to risk.

I agree in a sense with what you are saying RS, however the current board have neither the vision nor ambition to progress the club from what we currently are which is lower half championship dross.

Whilst there are no gaurentees that MM will be successful, there will at least appear to be some ambition and not the general apathy that appears to be sweeping through the club at present.
It isn't always about money, it is about enthusiasm, energy and expectation.

Spread over 50 people....

Could have been 50,000 for all I care, thank Christ they were there. I can't believe the abuse people who stumped up their cash when there was not a supposed sugar daddy around the corner are getting. I would be surprised if MM risks personally 20% of what the original shareholders put up, and of course this is coming off the back of making a large profit on Pompey ( so he says ).

Hang on. I think you will find MM is risking a bit more than the 10p in a share, for starters he will have to balance the books, it's unlikely the banks will accept a guarantee against the business therefore he will have to guarantee the debt himself or pay it off. That won't come cheap.

There is not a great deal of bank lending at the moment ( I believe a figure of £400,000 was mentioned a while back ). He will lend his own money to the club, if he follows what he did at Pompey, and if it all goes tits up he will attempt to get that money back ( after Teacher's ) on whatever assets the club still has.

I would never criticise the current board for what they did in saving our club, however it is clear to see that they are clearly lacking the experience, finance and know how to take the club beyond it's current position, MM is a different proposition he has charisma and contacts within the game, his energy, drive and determination is infectious, all the qualities the current regime, through no fault of their own lack.
