I could understand anybody that wanted to walk away. There is a time when it will test even the most ardent supporters. I can accept 1 poor season and even a 2nd one, but to show no improvement after 4 years is diabolical. Whilst i would not have any other expectations than to survive in the premier lge, i do expect us to make a much better go of it in this division. We dont have a devine right to be at the top, but this constant level of failure is not acceptable.

it will take a lot for me to renew after the last few seasons shite that has been dished up

Ollie can't seem to motivate the modern-day professional, at every other club he's been at he's taken on a mixed bag of journeymen and lower league starlets, a lot more easy to motivate. Players who have achieved some kind of reward and seem more accomplished are hard to motivate, they have achieved their goals, Ollie just can't seem to motivate them.

So which of our current bunch would you say have "achieved some kind of reward and seem more accomplished"?

This thread really sums up my feelings about the useless bunch of cnuts currently wearing the blue shirt.

I am sick of hearing about bad luck, bad breaks, poor refs BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!

I did not go to the game, did not listen to the commentary or even watch the Championship yesterday which says a lot in itself for me, but take away the 'bad' penalty and we would have still lost 1-0 Ollie!!!

Until any of them have anything decent to say about a great performance or a win then I want to hear 'No Comment' from all of them and use the time they spend writing the same bull in sorting out their s*it.

Howard, Oakley, Clemence, Campbell, Clapham, Alnwick, Chambers and Hayles have all achieved promotion from this division and probably think the club it's below them. The modern thinking of a professional football I bet they think they have achieved something.

Laczko has played Champions League football or at least been involved with a squad which plays CL footie, Bori was in the process of winning an Hungarian title, Kisnorbo knows if he threw a fit the Premiership clubs would be after him. These three who can looked to something better without this club.

What's that leave?

OK, so you've verified those that have achieved something, but you've failed to convince me that any of those are 'more accomplished' in some way. Certainly not on present form.

As for Hayles, at his age and stage of his career would he really be so stupid as to think he could do better than us:102:

Probably!!

Personally, I don't think the players have any belief in the system they are being asked to play. If you don't have belief in something you don't put your all into it. I think the players we've got have the ability to perform and get us up the league, just not in the formation they are being asked to play.
Our midfield is still weak, there are two cures, bring in stronger midfielders (which we now can't do) or play an extra man in midfield. To do that we have to play a different system, not play players out of position.

Aye that 4-4-2 system is a reet bastard - no one plays that way nowadays, and I suspect it's the very first time they have ever been asked to play in such a truly bizarre way

No wonder they are playing like complete cnuts

The only way things will change is if people vote with their feeet IMO.Whilst we are getting crowds like the one against Norwich nothing will change. When they start seeing a half empty stadium and crowds of 16 thousand etc ,arses will be kicked bigtime

But are they being asked to play 4-4-2 with a striker out of position, or are they being asked to play a 4-3-3 formation, or interchange between the two ? I certainly haven't seen two wingers on the pitch except for the odd occasion when Bori and Laczko have both played.

We've had leaders more recently than Walshy. Taggs and Elliot spring to mind and even Robbie (bless him) gave inspiration by the way he played.

I get your point, but walshie is still out there giving it hell, either on the radio or via the press.

I would leave robbie out of that line up tho :icon_wink

It's hard to cheer though when they serve up constant rubbish. It's time the sideshow of Ian Holloway Media Inc. stopped aswell. Time to consentrate on results instead.

Many World Champions when they reach their peak, they can not simply stay motivated to keep winning, they have acheived their goal. A good percentage of our current lot have probably hit the peaks of their MOR careers (when promotion to the top flight), when Milan came along with his contract offer it was probably double their wages at the clubs at the time, there are here for one reason, not to achieve, just to earning living. They will be happy just to keep their jobs.....

When I used accomplished, it wasn't the best way to describe what I am trying to explain because they don't look accomplished here but I bet they certainly feel it and don't give a rat's arse about City.

Ollie to me seems here can work with players who have something to prove and something to achieve, players who have 'made it' seem a different kettle of fish.
