Ashamed to say I did put her in but I thought she might Last a bit longer. My Soul mates who run the Soul Galore Radio show on Sunday will no doubt be doing a tribute to her. She had an incredible voice.

The guy who gave Etta her first hit anddiscovered her amoungst many others , Johnny Otis also died this week on Tuesday aged 90.

He was a white guy but grew up in a mainly black community and conzidered himself black so renamed himself as he thought it sounded black.
His own biggest hit was Willies Hand Jive but as well as Etta's first hit he wrote Every Beat of My Heart for Gladys Knight's first hit.

Does it not depend on your musical taste.
I cant stand heavy Rock music and wouldnt buy such a musical CD or download such music if you forced me or paid me for that matter.
I would view such music as crap and worthy only of chucking in the bin, or selling on Ebay if it was worth anything.
