Having attended the game (obviously), I don't feel qualified to comment on the performance. I'm far more interested in the views of people who were not there, preferably those who didn't listen to it on the radio either.

The very first caller into RL after the match was a demented bint, gushing cluelessly about how fantastic Sven was and how great the team were playing. Daggers asked her who her man of the match was, "erm... the scorers!!!". When questioned further she stated "Oh no, I didn't go to the match, I just listened on the radio".

So that's the problem if you actually attend the game, you miss hearing the voice of the true fan on RL. Sucks to be you, eh?

In Oz rich now. Got my text alerts in Dubai Obviously a brill performance, especially from Howard, Gallagher and Wellens.

It is amazing how much you can judge from 30,000 feet

On my pretty good stream from Thai TV 11, we looked excellent. :icon_wink

I took up my usual position at the north end of the paddock, but was disappointed to find we were attacking the wrong end in the first half. I decided to stay where I was though, rather than walk to the other end during the well observed minute's silence.

As expected they dominated at the start, but they played into our hands by playing Lambert up front by himself, and he had a poor game.

The first goal was against the run of play, but it was well set up by Madine and an excellent finish by Marshall. Another great performance by Marshall, I don't suppose Stoke will let him sign permanently. I'm sure he'll go on to play at a higher level.

The second goal was a superb own goal by their left back. He was having a mare even before the OG and got a deserved standing ovation from the home fans when he was subbed.
They rarely threatened for the rest of the first half, but their physio obviously did a good job at half time and they put us under pressure immediately after the restart. It wasn't long before they got a goal back. Too much pissing about at the back by Murphy and Chester when they should have just hoofed it.

We restored the two goal advantage - against the run of play again - with yet another goal from a corner. A typically good delivery from Berrett was headed in by Chester from close range. That's seven goals from corners in the last four games, a remarkable record.

They pulled one back again towards the end with a long range effort that I think must have been deflected as Collin seemed to dive the wrong way, but we held on for the win.

It wasn't the best performance of the season, but a good result against a good team.

I wasnt there and I thought they were all brilliant...cant believe the mongs with the minutes silence though. Will that do?

Only if the stream was of incredibly poor quality and kept going down.

Sounds like my mother-in-law.

I thank you.

Christ, the highlights make us look like men against boys. a mate of mine said we were fantastic, was Vassell's goal actually offside, and did we look as good as is suggested? if so, playoffs suddenly don't seem unreasonable any more!

Dissapointed that on the FL highlights it suggested the helicopter was due to the razzmatazz of Sven, poor and lazy journalism

Tash is a bit of a case mad about Ryan Mcgivern

She's an attention seeker, i've got her on facebook and you can tell because everytime it comes to rumours, transfers and stuff she comments and knows she is going to gets abuse but she still does it.

Great day yesterday ruined only by the idiots on both sides who couldn't keep quiet for a minute. Although if the club had gave it some thought they would have had the minute silence first followed by the last post. I wish every game had that atmosphere although I'm sure the next home game will.

That would be like having Christmas Pudding before the turkey. The whole point is that the Silence follows 'The Last Post' and is itself followed by 'The Rouse'.

Personally I think that whatever you do, there will always be some who will prefer to make a noise, just to draw attention to themselves,
