I am bored of reading that the 17.5m who voted to leave are xenophobic; the nastiness has reached even higher levels :(

The book of Face and twatter have completely imploded this morning - stay away for your own sanity.

I'd say 17.4m of them are. There'll be 100k who will be able to give a well reasoned argument, which doesn't focus on "bloody immigrants coming over here and taking all our jobs"

And it starts

Step forward Prime Minister Johnson, and Chancellor Gove

I was apprehensive when Tony Blair swept into power after the lengthy period of Tory rule. But guess what? The world was still turning the next morning and the apocalypse didn't actually happen as predicted. Same this time then. Just want all the doom and gloomers in the media to **** right off now and leave Britain to get on with things.
The difference between an election and a referendum is that an election result can be rectified/changed within five years.

This will have far longer consequences.

Wow. Another thread I need to stay away from today.

It's stunning, especially the number of my friends (actual friends not social media people I've never met) who are engaging in displays of laughable limp-minded abuse. Stunning and incredibly blinkered.

So does this mean that now that Cameron has said he will step down, will we have an undemocratically elected leader of the country?

Can another general election be called then instead or do we just have to put up with whoever the tories choose?

Get whoever the Tories choose.

Get whoever the Tories choose.

I assumed so but then I also assumed the outies would have thought about this first but clearly not.

All that crap about unelected people in Brussels running the show but now we'll have the exact same problem but in our own house.

Only this time they'll have complete control to do what they like.

Scary shit!

So an election called to supposedly free us from an unelected leadership in the EU is going to give us an unelected leadership in the UK. My brain hurts.

And then leave supporters have the audacity to complain when people call them stupid.

At least we've got the extra £350 million a week for the NHS.....

Nope, Nigel Farage already said that it was a 'mistake' for the Leave campaign to say that...
