Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

And man did not really land on the moon and the freemasons killed Kennedy and Elvis Presley is alive and working in a Leicester chipshop.

Hello Mr Strawman, do you have any other illogical arguments to present?

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Mark Yeates off to Boro from Colchester, apparently.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Hosan Ka'abi turns out to be a hero. He is one of four Iranian players who have been banned for life after the march against North Korea. His crime was to wear a green armband which is the symbol of protest against the rigging of the Iranian election. I imagine the Iranian government will find others ways of persecuting him as well. We hear too much about the Joey Bartons and Lee Bowyers of football but here is one footballer who deserves respect as a man.

it could also just show you how thick some plyers are, thinking nobody would dare touch em , bet they regret it now .

Yep, agreed 100%.:038:
I highly respect him for taking stand like that.

He was so utterly shite for us though...

Isn't he a left winger? Surely means Downing is off, but havn't they got Adam Johnson to play LW too, who is decent?

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

I actually thought he was decent but was not really given a proper chance, been Colchester's star player for the last few years. That probably isn't that hard though.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Scored after 5 minutes in his debut didn't he, 1-1 vs Luton at home if I remember correctly.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Replacing Steward Downing with ......... Mark Yeates !!

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Scored a lovely free-kick against us last season. As soon as he put the ball on the deck you knew it was going in.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Who was saying that Boro were going to be able to pull in better players than us? People like Yeates that we turned down doesn't seem a promising start.

He is much better now though to be fair.

Aye, 'cos that there Dany N'Guessan is a feckin' superstar isn't he ?

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

My point was Boro have players who clubs will pay decent money for ie Downing,Wheater,Alves,Tuncay.I don't quite see the clubs queuing up for our lot,so Boro will have more financial clout than us

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Lars Hirschfeld (who played all of 1 game for Leicester) is now with Cottbus of the 2. Bundesliga

I remember that one game, away to Plymouth at the end of the season. His kicking was terrible.
