Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Dany N'Guessan (sp) through to the FA Cup semi final with Millwall (just beat a pathetic Blackburn 1 - 0)

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Brian Deane on Football Focus talking about his new job. Listening to him speak, I have a horrible feeling he's going to fail. I hope I'm wrong, good luck to him :038:

I heard him interviewed on the radio the other day. He came across as being more intelligent than the average football manager.

Tightrope walker, Mountaineer, Gigolo, Traffic Warden?

Go on, give us a clue? ;)

He does, but on FF he was talking about the club's tiny budget, then explained that they'd be attempting to play 'entertaining' and 'aesthetically pleasing' football. I sometimes wonder if managers who say that have already thrown the towel in in the knowledge that they can't get results.

He also bemoaned the lack of opportunities in England, adding that one club (which he declined to name) simply emailed him back saying 'no thanks'.

To save you going back through the thread, he's the manager of Sarpsborg 08, new boys in the Norwegian top flight. His first game, away to Lillestrøm, is tomorrow afternoon.

All the media over here have them in one of the three bottom places in their predictions. Last time they were up, they scored a lot but let in a lot more. Might do the same this time with his ambition to play 'entertaining' and 'aesthetically pleasing' football. Good luck to them but stay behind Brann please! Hope they beat Lillestrøm tomorrow.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

No need. The thread has a search function. He could have found the answer quicker than it took him to ask the question.

As there was no reference in BMs thread to a previous post, why should I assume there is one?
I have just used your very useful thread search function. I found that there was a post in January, well feck me, fancy not remembering that!
Nowt like being useful!
The term sarcastic TWAT, comes to mind. :(

This is the thread for news about ex players, so I think it's safe to assume that there would be news about him here.

I was being useful, by pointing out how you could find the answer. Do you expect everyone to do everything for you? Surely it's better to know how to do things for yourself than have to rely on other people.

Presumably the sarcastic twat comment was regarding to your reply to BM. If you didn't want to look like a sarcastic twat you shouldn't have posted it.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Brian Deane's Sarpsborg-08 started the season with a 2-2 draw away to Lillestrøm (where City lost a pre-season match some years ago). They were 2 up but squandered it as they had a habit of doing last time they were up.
