Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Peter Shilton charged with drinking & driving.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-21740156

Pleaded guilty, got banned for 20 months as well as £1020 fine and costs that he reckons he can't pay ...

Paul Tawn, mitigating, said Shilton would find it difficult to pay any fine because his finances were "complicated" because he was going through a divorce and selling his house.

My heart bleeds.

Davids to the rescue

Not an ex-player I know but he nearly was.

Good on him I say.
:icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol: He didn't even play for us! Almost as good as your report on Ian Ormondroyd the other week.

Can someone change the thread title to 'Probable, possible or likely activities of any player who was once mentioned in the same sentence as Leicester'? Much catchier.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

I was looking for somewhere to put it and not want to have a specific thread.
I know it is a very loose connection but I thought it was a nice gesture for Davids to do worth sharing. I mean could you see Nigel Pearson doing that on the way back from Derby stopping to help City fans whose coach had broken down.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

It takes us to the services where the players have been treating their bodies like temples at Burger King and sampling the other limited delights of a northern service station.

Milan Mandaric had his driver stop and ask my wife if she wanted a lift after she sprained her ankle at the Villa away cup game.

It wasn't her who took a shit in his car was it?

No, the stain was already there by then which is why she chose to hobble on instead of taking the lift.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Simon Morgan was on Talk Sport this afternoon, he's Head of Community Development for the Premier League.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Shearer on the Lennon incident:

'Everyone will remember my tangle with Neil Lennon at Filbert Street. Now he was no shrinking violet and had been annoying me all night. When we both went down on halfway and tangled, I reacted out of frustration.

'In no way did I intend to kick him in the head, which is what happened and the FA found in my favour. I was trying to wrestle myself away from him but it looked bad and I could have gone.'

Still as cunty 15 years on then.

Steve Howard joining Wednesday on loan until the end of the season.

Can only think Hartlepool are cutting their losses on his wages and Mandaric/Jones have been sucked into it.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Vaughan, Danns and Beckford playing today for Udders as they lost to Dull 1-0.

Vaughan and Danns both got booked and Beckford got substituted.

Oh and Hobbs got booked for Dull as well.
