What a f'ing pain, an RRSS kickoff time. Plus the Spurs fan in my office can pronounce on the game without having to make any effort to go. Are we really gonna have to train back with the Spurs fans?

I'd really been looking forward to it as well.

A 2 hour 20 minute journey back on a Sunday night!!!!!!!

Sod it, I'll watch on the telly. F'ing Beeb. And yes, I know that's a very ironic stance to take.

The only train back is the 21:09 as that young tennis player has already pointed out. This is the equivalent of a 17:39 departure after a normal 3 p.m. kick-off. This means that the Tottenham fans who are in the away area of the ground will be most unlikely to be able to catch it - an escort would simply not arrive there in time.

However I am sure that there will be plenty of Spurs fans in the home areas who will be able to get to London Road in time and will be only too pleased to share the train with you.

As usual the fans who actually go to the match are the last to be considered.

Awful kick-off time. Going back to London, only one train @ 21.09, and it'll be full of Spurs W@nkers.:frown: :frown: :frown:

If you really don't want to share the journey with Spurs W@nkers you could return to London via Birmingham or Peterborough instead, if you don't mind a longer and (probably) more expensive journey.

Calling at everywhere except Market Harborough - which presumably means it's diverted via Oakham and Corby!!

I can feel a minibus coming on!

Do you know that, Jeff? Or are you just guessing?

There seems to be a lot of engineering works about that day and I haven't had time to check these other routes yet.

wonder how much being on TV will affect the attendance. Can't see a sell out now.

Thee's works all over the railways right now, and they're keeping them to the weekends so that people can get to work.

Surely they'll get a move on with the escort if that's the last train though?

im still going for a tenner, lovely jubley, still 4000 to spurs is a bit much, i thought it was 10% of the ground?

And the last train that will get me back to anywhere in Kent leaves Leicester at 19:53.

Cheers!!

Yes, I've checked.

Can you quote the times, so I don't have to look them up for myself.

Hundred grand or so for being on the telly?

Not without looking them up again!

Off the top of my head I think there was a train to Brum at around 21:10, connecting with a train that gets into London after midnight.

The one to Peterborough leaves at something like 21:20, with a very short connection time when you get there, although I think there's a later Peterborough to London train if you miss the connection.

It used to be a lot more than that, I'll see if I can find the current figure.

Is that shared between the two teams 50-50?

Two seasons ago each club received £265,000 for a televised match in the third round. I think it was the same last season, but I believe this has increased by 10-20% this season, just trying to confirm how much.

We only get £150,000 this year.

TV money in the first two rounds went up by around 15% this season, but the amount for the third round has almost halved. Bugger.

Am i the only one who thinks the tickets are a very reasonable price? Can't argue with £20 although i guess they must be cheap cos it is on the tv. Nevertheless that is still good and it should be a full house. Half our team will crap themselves playing to a full Walkers!
