the researchers often put wolves as one of our rivals.......haven't bothered checking if that is the case this year

tbf, i think we are as fierce a rivals to Coventry as we are Forest these days, not that i think we actually really have any firce rivals, but i guess they have to often go on the media's perception of the club rather than the actual rivalries and legends as seen by fans

And im really starting to get into 2009 now, my favourite feature is deifnitely the Assistant manager now being so much more helpful

That would all depend on whether Graham Fenton was your assistant :)

Premiership season - 24 points from 23 games, 14th position so things are going nicely. In January I brought in Olivier Kapo, Justin Hoyte and Jeremy Mathieu, and have Steven Smith, Danny Grainger and Charlie Adam all coming in the summer.

Finally got this at the weekend.

Having a go with Arsenal for a while to get the hang of it again (last version i played was 07).

Not going brilliant. Semis of the League Cup but only 5th in the league. Striggling to score too. Any tips?

I also got this the other day, played 10 games so far and had injuries in 8, though none long term (2 weeks to a month). Have the latest patch aswell. Is it just my players or the game in general?

Sign Robert Lewandowski from Lech Poznan - the answer to your goalscoring problems.

two successive promotions and i'm in the premiership. signed some slovenian kid called rene mihelic when i first joined for £100k, he's now worth £7m

Just started a new game with Bristol City, really getting into it now, went the first 23 league games unbeaten, just lost my first game 2-1 to Sheff Utd, Michael McIndoe has scored 8 goals in 5 games from the left-wing currently and is miles ahead of the divisions top assists and average rating table

Im still 11 pts ahead of 2nd in the league after 24 games, and have scored 51 goals and conceded 16

The update for the January transfers is now available.

Does this update actually make the lower italian leagues playable do you know?

****ing half a job SI

I bought FM2009 but it runs SO slowly on my laptop, I haven't bothered playing on it for months now.

IMO the stupid 3d match engine is behind it running so slowly and there's no need for it at all

I don't use the 3d. The only reason it's there is to feed the FIFA types.

Neither did I, but the mere fact that the 3d engine is included in the game bumps it up from FM2008 being a 700k MB programme to FM2009 being a 1,700k MB programme. I don't understand computers very well but I think that's one of the reasons FM2009 runs slowly on my computer whereas FM2008 runs very smoothly

The match engine is not the only thing that bumps up the size of the game, it does contribute however and is in my opinion a steaming pile of absolute horse spunk.

They even said they would not do a 3d engine untill they had created the best one they could, if that is the greatest they can achieve then they should give up now.

You can't even play some of the leagues due to bugs for **** sake.

Just finished my first season, won the Championship with Bristol City, didnt lose a single league home match all season, only drew 3 of them in fact. I liked the Best Eleven feature at the end of the season

For some reason the board have given me 18mil to spend to keep us up, no idea how we got that kinda money but still
