They offered me £49m transfer budget for top half finish! Of course, I've gone one higher, so am expected to finish in a European place, with a £57m transfer budget This is going to be a fun summer!

I stand by everything i said before.

However i have just managed to clinch 2nd spot with Sheffield United.

Instead of permanently signing players with Championship experience (like in season 1) i signed PREM fringe players on loan. Hibbert (Everton), McCartney & Reid (Sunderland), Piquinnone (Lyon) nd Yebda (Benfica).

Simeon Jackson (32 league goals last year) injured himself and was out for the season so i also snapped up Hooper (Scunthorpe) for 700k.

The star of my season was Marlon Harewood (29 league goals).

Im hoping to sign all my loan stars permanently and if theres anything left get a CB in, although Jackson coming back will be like a new signing in itself.

Prem is SOLID. I signed all my loanees from last year plus Michael Turner. Whilst i was busy i forgot to get a striker. I cannot score for SHIT. My promotion wage rise has left me money but no wages to offer out, its HORRIBLE.

I've started afresh (for the last time... for a while :icon_redf ).

Ins: Nacer Barazite (loan), Ritchie De Laet (Loan), Seyfo Soley (free)

Outs: Powell (free), Porter (£12k, Crewe), N'Guessan (Loan), Chambers (Loan), Adjerevic (Loan)

I usually start by trying to get rid of all the dead wood. This time i've just concentrated on keeping most of the squad together. The loans are only fringe players also. I've kept DJ until someone comes in for him, i usually try to flog/release him due to his £16k wages.

Revamped the whole of the back room staff. Managed to get Tunchev signed up for four years (at the expense of £10,500 wages).

Currently 6th in the championship after 11 games. Scored 25 goals.

Kermorgant is top goal scorer with 9, King & Wellens have been brilliant.


With DJ playing well, hopefully someone will want him and release more wages. currently breaking even until loans return in January.

Same here. He's not technically gifted but physically stong and good in the air. He can play a pass, too.

Im with you. The game has become so hard over the years that i very rarely get into it anymore. The A.I is almost impossible to beat and following up a decent season is near enough impossible.

The worst flaw is the lost momentum upon reloading . You can save a game on a 15 match unbeaten run, reload it the next day and never win again that season. Its not just the odd time this happens its quite often and iv argued it on the S.I site (quite a few agree).

Still the most addictive game going, if anything the difficulty just makes me more determined and when you do get it right ever so more satisfying.

I wonder if it is the saving mechanism that breaks it. I save after most games and very rarely get a run going, so maybe that changes a momentum variable?

Possibly, but its treated like a myth on the S.I forum.

Too many people on there are ignorant towards the games obvious flaws.

Its caused me many a late night because i know that if i save it and go to bed i wont get a good run going again in the morning !
