I'm not too stressed about the way it's financed. It's a bit worrying that there are apparently no long term guarantees in the offer, but we don't know if that's true or not or what MM's plans are, what he does plan to invest etc.

Plus, as has been said many a time before, for MM to be successful here then the club needs to be successful as well. He wants to get us to the Premiership and will have to invest to get us there, which is what we want as well. If that happens then how we've got the money shouldn't be much of an issue because promotion would give us £40m anyway.

I think for most people the more worrying part is if MM can't get us promoted and decideds to bail out, but really there's nothing to suggest that will happen. He took his time with Portsmouth. He's a good businessman and has a good reputation. If he pulled out after a few years with us because he couldn't get us up, and when he left we were in ruins and went out of business or had huge debts again, then that would destroy Mandaric's reputation, at least within football.

Yeah, we could eventually be fecked from this deal, or it could be the best thing to ever happen to us. As it is we're pretty much screwed anyway. I'd rather be optimistic about this deal and at least have the club for a few more years than see the MM deal not go through because of doubts and have no more club within a year.

I wonder what will happen if Milan croakes it.

He is no spring chicken.

I'd wondered about that as well, but thought it was a bit morbid to ask ;)

I think the club should just get all his assets. His family can just be given jobs within the club.

Does MM have family? Never heard it mentioned.

Erm, long term supporter, still has his season ticket in the East Stand, partner in the largest law firm in the world, helped us out of admin by doing all legal work to square Teacher's unpaid - I would be very worried.

why because he is in a high profile job the reason must be a good one?

I suspect its what highland fox said he wants the current shareholders to keep control and things arent going his way so hes resigned in protest with the aim of making news and unrest amongst the rest of the camp.

He resigned because he thinks, and is advised (along with other on the board), that the deal is poor, and in any other line of business would laughed at.

I also think typically if money was offered for a business at £1 for £1 which is losing multi millions a year (liability) would also be laughed at.

Well I don't know the in's and out's but it seems MM is going to loan the money to us rather than pumping the money straight into the club. He seems to want to be heralded as the saviour of the club and the chairman but doesnt want to take the burden on his shoulders. So if it all goes tits up, MM doesnt go down instead its 'bye, bye' to LCFC.

all these people saying MM loaning cash to the club is no risk?

what happens if he loans cash to club it isnt successful and he walks away and we then go into admin?

he loses his cash.

Why walk away ? He could wind up the company. Secured loans come first.

Not saying he would - or anything else, but despite weeks of discussion some people seem unable to understand there are potential minuses as well as pluses, and that he is a businessman, not a philanthropist.

But he'd be in a position to make sure he gets his money back first - he could sell all the players, the training ground etc to make sure he gets his money back. Similar things have happened at other clubs where one person has taken over a club with the promise of success.

see more scaremongering.

People against the takeover are doing the following.

Thinking of the worst possible thing that could happen ie. asset strip wind up the club.
Ignoring his past footballing history.
Trying to brainwash everyone that because he is loaning money he is evil.
Make believe the club isnt in the crap when it is.
The current shareholders are all angels and dont care about getting return on investment.

Well I got news for you, its entirely possible and I will be confident in saying more likely that we can enter admin under the current board.
We are more likely to get relegated under the current board, thus increasing the financial risks.
Shares are worth less then when we came out of admin its a hard FACT.
Their is noone interested in the club apart from MM, the other supposed bids wont lead to anything.
For MM to make a profit we would need to get promoted, without promotion the chances of MM making money is slim and I expect he wishes to maintain his reputation as he is a proud man.
The board have have had years to improve matters, yet only consider the rights issue after MM made a bid why is this?

I dont see anything more wrong with him loaning the club money then a chief exec happy to take a fat salary out of a club on brink of financial collapse, I respect the FT recently with some honesty regarding the club financial situation.

The horrid situations at Wrexham and Chester come to mind.

That wasn't scaremongering he was correctly responding to you stating that Milan would lose his cash.
I haven't seen any scaremongering going on at all, in fact, just realism in response to some people's over-inflated expectations, mainly due to that c#nticle Bill Anderson's bullshit.

Just been announced on BBC Leicester news that the deal is going to be delayed by 10 days because a "bid document" has been mislayed!
Now am I missing something here??
We have a high profile deal worth millions between a globe trotting tycoon and an english professional football club, presumably both parties would have reasonably competent financial teams and they have managed to lose a document that is so important it's going to delay the takeover by ten days of an already reduced transfer window!!!!
I ain't buying it...what the fcuk is going on?
