Sunderland have terminated Marton Fulop's loan deal with Leicester City.
The Hungarian keeper was set to have spent the entire 2007/8 season at the Walker's Stadium, but Sunderland have activated a previously-unknown recall clause in the deal, and the 24 year old will return to the Stadium of Light, possibly in time for tomorrow's game against Reading.

Fulop had said recently that he wanted to make his move to Leicester permanent, after having played 24 games and keeping clean sheets in seven of them - including a magnificent performance as Leicester eventually lost 4-3 in the Carling Cup to Chelsea in October. However, Fulop won't be staying with the Foxes, as Roy Keane appears to want to give him a run in a Sunderland side that right now does not have any clear first choice goalkeeper, despite the summer's £9m acquisition of Craig Gordon.

Keane confirmed today: "We are bringing Marton back. We've had him watched during his time there and he's done well. It was important that he got games under his belt but he's had his stint there and we have decided to bring him back.

"Nothing has been decided yet in terms of what happens with the keepers. I had a manager on the phone yesterday asking about taking Trevor Carson on loan but nothing has been agreed and I have always quite liked the idea of having four keepers at the club."

Why ? He's moved from Rural Edinburgh to delightful Sunderland why would he want to move back

having lived in both towns (cities supposedly) i can safely say i'd rather live in Scumderland than Edinburgh
