You posted a quote from the FT which makes the current board look bad for the club, and what you said about MM is that he pledged to do what he did at Portsmouth. But you didn't mention any of the positives about the current board, or the possible drawbacks of the Mandaric bid. Therefore the poll is biased in favour of MM. I have reopened the poll, but the results should be seen in light of the way the question was asked.

The quote from the FT is FACT about the immediate future of the club should this board remain as it is.

It's also a fact that the current owners are mainly Leicester fans who won't put the long term future of the club in jeopardy. Why didn't you mention that?
The fact is you just mentioned negatives about the current ownership, which makes it biased. The only way to remove all bias fron the poll is to just give people the options, without putting any spin on it.

That 'fact' wasnt relevant to the question, neither was the fact we drew 2-2 at the weekend :102:

The question was simple, did people want a future for LCFC based on what the FT had reported or did they want MM to come in??

To just ask the question as you have done is not the same.

That's why I reopened the poll - so we can see the difference between your version of the question and a straight question with no spin. But I still think it's unfair to call it the FT's vision, it looks like they're just the messenger. Maybe you could have put the other option as being the Mercury's vision.

So now Mandaric doesnt exist, its just the Mercury saying so???

The FT gave us the info from the club, I can see how using the word vision can be miss interpreted. If I could I would change it to 'the future, as reported by the Foxes Trust.

the two polls are really going in different directions at the moment.:icon_roll

No, but they're the ones doing most of the pro Mandaric reporting. Maybe MM has promised Bill Anderson a job.

Irrelevant. I merely stated what had come from the horses mouth so to speak. I didnt mention any Mercury 'spin'

I didn't even look at what the vote was when I closed it.

Maybe I should start my own.

Who do you want to own the club:

A) Leicester fans who have the interests of the club at heart.

B) A Portsmouth fan who could get us into loads of debt and we'll end up in administration.

Effectively the same question as yours, but I bet the result of the vote wouldn't be the same.

I would still go with "B", as you use the word could.

The Leicester fans who have the club at heart could also feck the club up..

I will vote for "B"

I am not certain I want MM to do what he did at Portsmouth - 7 managers in 5 years and still in a shithole of a stadium - and big price increases!

who's to say the long term future of the club is jeopardy under MM? surely could argue our long term future is in jeopardy?-ie were going nowhere!

but you've earlier said we don't know any of the facts about the MM bid, so its unfair to try and influence peoples opinion with unfounded claims?

The claim he'd lend us money is based on what he did at Portsmouth, and has been reported from sources I'd consider to be reliable

The bit I said about trying to influence people was purely about the wording of this poll, the bias in the question will lead to skewed results. If we weren't allowed to speculate we'd have had nothing to talk about the last few weeks.

What you don't seem to grasp is that if things stay as they are the club will be in jeopardy. The income generated by the present set up is far less than is required to run a club of this size. Even with parachute payments we only just made a profit, and that's not even paying of all the interest and the loan growing each season. A small cash injection by the current shareholders will only delay the inevitable.

AT is already talking about down sizing the commercial staff as he knows there is no more that can be done to the playing side. We will eventually have to sell some of our better players just to stand still.

We will eventually have to sell some of our better players just to stand still.

We've always been a selling club when we're in this division, and often in the top division too, so I don't think the fact that we might have to sell a player puts us in jeopardy, it just puts us where we've been for most of the time the club's been around.
Dopesn't mean I'm happy about selling players, just that it's not an unusual position for us to be in. Anyone who thinks we've survived in the past without selling players has got a short memory.
