I'd have gone as well if I were him. Oh well, onward and upwards.

Never a dull day supporting this club.

Well at most he was only ever 3/4 games away from the sack anyway and already had the home fans on his back. I think he made the right choice to go before he was sacked.

That said I think the Sheff Wed game was most likley a bit of a fluke - they were supposed to be a shambles and both our goals came from set peices.

I don't think fans can take the credit for getting rid of him, but if we did I think we should be thanked for it. Better to get rid now than at the end of a miserable season with crowds down and the atmosphere even worse than it has been.

Amen. This is a bloody great day!

So what happen if talks between bolton and megson collapse? mm's statement doesn't say anywhere in concrete that he's left the club, all it says is hes been allowed to talk to bolton and burrows/taggart have been placed in charge of the first team. Not sure if im just missing something, but i would've thought mm would have made it a lot clearer that megson has gone completely/officially if he has!! Or does the fact he has no contract with us anyway play into this?

Halelujah! Fingers crossed that he doesn't get the Bolton job either then it's back on the old sausage roll for you Ginger Boy!

Don't think we have to worry, Bolton are clearly keen on bringing Megson in and Megson wants to go. Think he's gone foreverever. :)

i think megson was the only person bolton really wanted, hopefully they can agree on a deal which he will accept. i can't see him turning round and saying he doesn't want it as it would make his job even less comfortable

The statement says "The search for a new manager begins in earnest.", how much clearer do you want it to be?

Thank **** for that!

I just hope that we get a new man in quickly so as to not waste more of the season.... and I don't think I could stand another few weeks of guessing who it will be!

What about Martin Allen? Promising up and coming manager, currently out of a job I think? ;)

Hopefully he's in place for the villa game anyway, im off to the reebok on sunday, as a neutral of course! my work has a box there so im a corporate snob for the day. Be a good opportunity to watch a leicester legend hammer a leicester reject!

i was willing to give him a chance until last night but good ridance, but the princable that gartside - a man who reckons bolton stand for everything lovely in football - snares a bloke under contract, which is fairly hypocritical!!

:098: take that gartside, you turd

Megson is a f u cking w ank er.

Very Good News and the Best Scenario.

Meg was not particularly wanted at Leicester (nor Bloton by the sounds of it) and his removal from Leicester was what almost everyone here wanted.

The fact that he was poached/stolen/pilfered away by another club and not just sacked/moved sideways/left on 'mutual terms'/left because of a falling out with Milan means that the club is seen as being hard done to.

We have more chance of getting a reputable manager now as our integrity is (still-ish) intact.

A cr*p manager, unwanted by the fans taken from us in the best possible way, we even may get the £300,000 pay off as well.
Couldn't be better.

Now,
How can we get stablility for a week or two.
