Well said, though I support Megson's imminent departure. The available managers like the one you list with experience are all seriously damaged goods and as seriously poor as Megson. MM has to take a risk and go for a relatively inexperienced guy such as Grayson or Ince.

Agreed and given time that calibre of candidate is much more likely to produce stability than the type of experienced managers mentioned.

Not looking like he'll get a great welcome in Bolton ... a typical comment on the Bolton News Website

RIP Wanderers.

It was nice while it lasted.

Mind you even if he doesn't get the job he's gone from Leicester for good so we'll be ok then.

Skol all round in my household tonight.

Goodbye Gary, goodbye Megball.

Did he not joke in the press conference that he had only agreed a 6-week contract? :102:

Cheerio you boring ginger wanker!! Hope he crashes and burns, preferably in a plane! :)

If MM has got money then why dont we go and poach someone elses manager. Gary Johnson please, it would be worth the compo imo

feckin radio leicester - sort it out, if you cant do a live broadcast then what the hell is the point?

the statement does not say he's actually gone!!!!! just that he's been granted permission.

Yes it does in the Official Statement here: http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~1151212,00.html

In point of fact it was abundantly clear to me that if I stood in Gary's way it would have a detrimental effect on the club and I was not prepared to allow that to happen.
Needless to say our objectives to win promotion this season remain the same. The search for a new manager begins in earnest.
In the meantime assistant manager Frank Burrows and Gerry Taggart will assume temporary control of first-team affairs until we are in a position to announce a significant appointment.

i have said this before

there was only one statement released when i made that comment. the second was not released until after

The writing was on the wall for GM as soon as he joined us. Too many, so called, City fans were waiting like the grim reaper to scythe the bloke down.

I don't think fans can take the credit for getting rid of him, but if we did I think we should be thanked for it. Better to get rid now than at the end of a miserable season with crowds down and the atmosphere even worse than it has been.

I'd have gone as well if I were him. Oh well, onward and upwards.

Never a dull day supporting this club.
