Re: Holloway out

My ghast is truly flabbered. How can anyone think that another change of manager would be beneficial?
Read between the jokes and it is clear that Holloway knows what the problem is and has a plan to fix it. This puts him several steps ahead of any Leicester manager for some time. Holloway has had five days of his first transfer window, is the first man at the club to notice that 64 right backs and two midfielders is a strange balance and is trying to put that right.
It is time to be honest, Arsene Wenger with Alex Ferguson as assistant, couldn't put this club back together in a couple of weeks. We will move away from the foot of the table this season, but little else. Keep the management team in place and next season will be better BUT, it still may take another to gain promotion.

Re: Holloway out

We have changed manager several times lately, and we have gained nothing from it. IMO It's not the manager that is causing us problems, it's the players who don't want to be here. I will go into more detail soon.

I agree with the first part of that. I think we have run out of the option of changing the manager for the time being.

I suspect that most clubs review their position in the summer and that we will be no different.

Could you provide more evidence about the "players who don't want to be here"? My impression is that sometimes they try very hard - and sometimes they don't. Player recruitment has been so poor and as a consequence the team is so unbalanced that it's difficult not to be pessimistic about our prospects. I just hope that there is another team in addition to Colchester and Scunthorpe that is poor enough to finish below us.

Very cheerful Diken - I assume that you meant it may take a couple of seasons to get promotion from League 1.

I really don't know how this club is going to fare in the next couple of seasons, but I can't imagine that it will involve any question of a return to the premiership. I don't think we have a single players who could hold down a regular place in any struggling premiership team. Two or three might be squad players if they bucked up their ideas but we are a million miles from being individually or collectively ready for any forseeable promotion challenge.

Re: Holloway out

In a discussion I had with Babylon I posed the point that although it might resemble some sort of stability to persist with Holloway, I do not feel that he has had enough of an impact so far to justify too much leeway.

I am happy enough to admit I might be wrong but with each successive game at the moment he justifies my point of view.

How much longer does he get? :icon_conf :102:

This is a ridiculous thread. Our current contiued spiral is down to continued changing of the manager, players, ownership of the club. If you cant see that then you really need to have a word with yourself.

Granted some of those decisions have been for the best but since Micky Adams took job we have had 7 full time managers and I reckon 100+ players if not more have worn the blue jersey. This is crazy. We need stability. Holloway should keep the job even if we went down.

Re: Holloway out

This is the starting line up for yesterday's game. 82% of the team were players signed long before Ollie's reign, most being signed or introduced into the side by Levein or Kelly. At the end of last season most were in agreement that the majority of these players would be bombed out of the club but despite signing 16 players in the summer, Clemence and N'Gotty aside none of the rest are better than the shite left from last season, so how the fcuk can the blame be laid at the door of either Megson or Ollie, who both have inherited this collection of shite and both vowed to make drastic changes so lets give the poor fecker some time and support.

Henderson - Signed by Levein
Stearman - Academy but introduced by Levein as a regular
McAuley - Signed by Kelly
Kisnorbo - Signed by Levein
Sheehan - Academy but given debut by Levein
Hume - Signed By Levein
Wesolowski - Academy but given debut by Levein
Kenton - Signed by Kelly but was also on loan under Levein
Fryatt - Signed by Levein
Howard - Signed by Holloway
Hayles - Signed by Holloway

Hardly a ringing endorsement of the summer spending spree by Messers Allen and Mandaric, but IMO clearly demonstrates the massive reconstruction job that faces Holloway.

Re: Holloway out

Martin Allen fecked this club up big time!!!

gary megson said after one of the games this is not good enough,

IH has come in and told some these feckers to piss off and not come back. he has to make his own team if he wants leicester to go up and balance it out, this is going to be one busy month, i dont care if any of our players get sold because not of them it worth keeping,

That is quite shocking that Allen signed 14 players or whatever, yet none of them played yesterday. :icon_eek:

Re: Holloway out

It seems to me that the question has been answered quite resoundingly.

Can we please close this thread and let it sink to the bottom of the pile as it seriously highlights the pathetic trend of judging people so quickly that has crept into this club.

I ****ing hate the way our fans are acting these days, peoples stupid expectations after 10 ****ing games is so unreasonable it is seriously effecting my enjoyment (as much as the shit players) of supporting my club.

Anyone who thinks that a 1/4 of a season is enough time knows absolutley nothing about football and seriously needs to take a look at themselves and the type of team they support.

This club will take more than 2.5 bloody months to sort out. We can all see how much damage has been done over the last few years and im sure most of us are intelligent enough to realise it will take a damn site more planning and action that what has currently been seen.

IH is 5 DAYS into remoulding this steaming pile of shite into a polished football team, i will press anyone not willilling to give him the time to offer me an alternative who they think could do it in 10 games.

Lets face it, if you cant offer a suggestion, and there is no alternative, then this club would be going straight back to square one AGAIN, into a possition where non of us want to be, in a posstion where the new manager comes in and says ' there is a lot of work to do' AGAIN.

Lets all remember what support is all about, it has been lost (and over the past years i can see why) im not talking about being loud down the Walkers, im not even talking about turning up, im talking about having enough about us as a group of fans to remember what giving someone real time really is, and the results that it may well bring.

Excellent post Lako...realism and passion..just what this club needs at this stage of necessary rebuilding...got to say however that the inflammatory nature of the thread has provoked, in my opinion, some of the most perceptive and well reasoned responses this forum has seen in ages...

we're all pissed off and increasingly depressed about how things are going but need to give IH and MM the time and more importantly the support that Leicester supposedly has in the eyes of the outside football world...intelligent debate is a must but destructive short-termism will kill any hope of a revival in our fortunes

IH has acknowedged and is implementing what we have all been banging on about for ages...be patient, be as optimistic as your personal outlook on life allows and get behind the club we all love....
