how about eddie johnson. Man u youngster was on loan at c*v i think but is looking at a long term loan deal with crewe now. Dont know an awful lot about him but seems a promising youngster and Dario Gradi certainly know how to spot the good youngsters and he originally came from the crewe set up.

I reckon a season long loan with aview to a permanant deal maybe avaliable.

I think the Youth set up is going to take a few seasons until it starts producing.It was apparently neglected somewhat in the Adams era and now Kelly is kind of starting from scratch.I still think Dodds should get a chance pre season,banged a few in for the Reserves last season.

I think that's a bit harsh to be honest. I'm not so sure it was Adams neglecting it, but more that there was no money to run it!

We have got Stearman, Sheehan and Chris O'Grady in the squad for next year. So we have got some youth coming though.
Think that we'll probably see more of O'Grady than Dodds. Went and watch the youth team a while back and he looked sh!t hot, anyone know how he did in the reserves last year?

It was CL who said how poor our Youth Set-Up was when he took over.Might be wrong but I think O'Grady spent a large proportion on loan,He was definately with Notts County.

And O'Grady did bugger all at Notts...seen him play for the reserves since and there is room to improve. There was another lad as well, who was very small (anyone know who I'm rattling on about), he reminded me of Joachim! I thought he had quite a bit of potential. There is also Dodds, who could be one for the future!

You are talking about Levi Porter.

Having watched the ressies quite a bit this season I would say O'Grady, Sheehan and Dodds were head and shoulders above the rest - this includes Wright who looked poor even in the stiffs.

It's not the worst idea in the world but I don't think it will happen this season, he isn't as physically developed as O'Grady who I think will feature this season. Not necessarily because he is better than Dodd's but he is stronger and quicker which is a massive help in this league.

Australian youth international Jacob Timpano will reportedly spend this week on trial with English Championship side Leicester.

The Sydney FC defender left last weekend, despite attempts by Football Federation Australia to block the trial.
