Fortunately i've never had the opportunity, but i have heard some wicked comments from cancer sufferers, gallows humour even they call it.

I wasn't making a joke - that is really how and why I got hired permanently. Now I'm not saying I'm happy the guy died or happy that he had cancer but I am very happy that a full-time position became available and I am now in a job that I thoroughly enjoy.

Had he not been sick I probably wouldn't be working here now and that would be a bad thing for me, so I am gald he had to leave. I don't think that makes me a bad person in any way.
