if its any consolation I have to be at Birmingham airport by 10.30 next Sunday to get on a train there (because the Leicester connections are shite) to get to Glasgow and spend 5 days there at a really exciting orthopaedic exhibition :icon_conf

The one in Oxford is certainly a converted jail. I'm not so sure about the one in Glasgow.

Malmaison is a chain of 'luxury' hotels, named after the Chateau de Malmaison outside Paris which was the home Josephine, the wife of Napoleon.

The root of the word is likely to be old Latin, rather that French, and suggests an ill-fated place.



Edit: just looked it up - the Glasgow Malmaison is a rebuilt church. Odd that Cate can't tell the difference between a prison and a church.

Crap weather, I've lost a glove already, I'm skint.
I'm getting to the point where if I see another snowman or cute animal in a santa hat I will scream, I've ran out of the size cards I was using and I won't be able to get anymore til Friday, I'm skint.
I didn't buy enough pink card to die-cut the roses, I can't sit on my craft chair cos Skittle has draped herself over it:icon_roll, I've finally got around to filling my window boxseat and found out I can't fit all my TT stuff in it:icon_eek:, I'm skint.
I'm already fed up with pasta after one day, there's nowt on tv, bought a different cat litter and the fussy buggars won't use the trays now, instead doing their business on the newspaper laid out around the trays which means I've got to use more of my precious pennies buying the normal stuff which is the dearest one Need to get a new front door key cut before Alex gets here on Friday cos the spare one is bent, I'm skint.
Guillotine blade is knackered so I can't cut my paper and card, got no Options hot chocolates left, found my missing sunglasses to find theyve got a scratch on them, oh and did I mention I'm skint??

Still, apart from all that my day has been brilliant!
